IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey coming to 360
14
Simulation games of any type don't exactly have a large or successful history in the world of the console gamer. But since RTS's have been taking steps into the console world, sims should as well. Given that most sims are slow and a bit, well ... boring, it's good to see that not only is IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey the type of game that doesn't look very boring, but also that it has a name that doesn't suggest it's genre (we're looking at you MS Flight Sim!). While it's unknown whether the Birds of Prey version that will hit the 360 will include any new content, the game is already known as the one of the best WWII flight sims around and new content might not really be absolutely necessary to bring people in.

Unless there's a button that blasts "Danger Zone," I'm not buying it.

I don't think that song was around in World War II...
What I'd like to see is a Pilotwings type game, not another boring air combat game. We've already got enough (Blazing Angels 1 and 2, Ace Combat 6, Over G Fighters, HAWX to name a few).

I'd love to see a pilot wings type game as well, but for that we should probably buy a Wii.
Still, you can't have too much shooting down Germans, Tally-ho!

Why dont you take the time to look at the full line of screens the graphics are amazing and the landscapes are insane.
This is easily the best looking flight sim this gen.I really dont count blazing angels series as flight sim because its more like a arcade style flight game like crimson skies.

Excuse me. I stand delightfully-corrected. I did happen to say "If I'm judging by the graphics depicted in the screenshot there," meaning I DIDN'T look at the other screenshots. But thanks for the heads up either way.
Mind you, I dislike any WWII games, so there is no chance in hell that I'll be picking this up...

The trailer for the game got me really excited to play it but my only worry is what it will control like. I would rather it play like Crimson Skies than Ace Combat, but it is a sim so it probably won't.
