Spyro, Guilty Gear coming to Xbox Originals

We'd love to meet the person who's choosing what games to re-release as Xbox Originals. Because, to be perfectly honest, we just don't get how they're deciding which games will get the treatment and in what order. Take, for example, this new coupling, arriving on your 360 on June 16:

Guilty Gear XX #Reload (1200 Microsoft Points, WW except Europe): "Guilty Gear X2 #Reload makes its Xbox® debut, and, for the first-time ever, introduces online play with head-to-head Xbox Live™ support! Uncover Spyro's secret history as you embark on a dangerous quest to face off against the ultimate creation of the Dark Master, Cynder."

Really guys? Spyro and Guilty Gear? We've only got two questions -- well, no, we have dozens, but here are the two we're dying to ask: Just how big does a dartboard have to be to fit all the Xbox games on it? And which blindfolded intern is chucking the darts?

Guilty Gear brings a smile to my face. I really enjoyed it on the Xbox, even with the substandard d-pad. It's a shame by the time I brought the game - a month after release - the Live community was dead.

Oh yeah, I forgot: I'm hot for Bridget.

I don't know if transvestite is the proper term for Bridget. Yes, Bridget is a boy, but it's not really his fault for the way he acts and dresses. His parents raised him as a girl, due to some superstitions in his hometown about having twins, both of the same gender.
Puberty's gonna be tough on him, though.

Oh, and everyone's gay for Bridget. No exceptions.

Glad to see microsoft's taking notes from sony's PS1 releases on PSN. As in, release crappy mascot games no one wants. Where's Kotor, jade empire, morrowind and the 200 other good multiplatform titles??

Yes, I too, am longing for games full with replay value, even when they were released five years ago and have much better versions, ripe with extra content, on the pc. It's not like everyone who gave a hoot about these games already played them.

Me? I refuse to play them until Microsoft's service does their name justice. In the mean time, I'll do my best to avoid playing Guilty Gear, one of the best fighting games ever made, in fear of suffering a severe beating by the hands of a twelve-year old uncultured FPS enthusiast. Well, see ya.

Well, Spyro 1-3 were Insomniac... time for me to get bashed. I picked up the triple pack a long time ago after I was so impressed by Ratchet & Clank... still haven't played them.

Guilty Gear is tempting for the Live connectivity, even if #Reload is two versions out of date now. Plus Accent Core actually got a US release.

Odd choices... Are there new Guilty Gear or Spyro games coming out soon? I think they should release Beyond Good & Evil on XBox Originals since the sequel was just announced.

Well, there are new Guilty Gear & Spyro games coming out.

Also, I remember MS saying that there are a few different factors they use to decide which games to put out as an Xbox Original. One thing they look at is how good the BC version is, is it buggy, etc.

So maybe this news is the result of these two factors.
