So, we just finished watching the above 20-minute video, which concludes GameTrailers' Metal Gear Retrospective and sets out to methodically explain the Metal Gear story arc. For those who are just joining Metal Gear with the latest installment, it certainly helps to watch. Those afraid of audio/visual presentations can take solace in knowing we've created our own pictorial explanation of what players need to know before starting Metal Gear Solid 4.
Now, a group of us are going to go get a drink and relax before we take a three hour quiz Ludwig has set up for us on Metal Gear lore this evening. Lowest scorer actually has to deliver Ludwig's copy to South Africa.

man, even after beating all of the non portable console games in the series (including the pre solid 2) I still feel like I just barely understand the big picture.
*China/America/France put a shitload of money together
*Their decedents now have that fortune, they are the patriots
*The patriots control everything and plenty have tried to overtake them
*Naked Snake was trained by a War Hero known as the big boss, who turned to be the master mind behind the MGS 3 events trying to overtake the phylosophers power and MG blueprints
*Ocelot is the son of Big Boss and The sorrow, and was gaven birth on a battle field. Big boss practiced herself the operation to take his child out of her womb (sorry, forgot the word in english)
*Ocelot was trained by the Phylosophers
*Something happened to Naked Snake that he went on a coma during the portable ops 1 operation. Then he was cloned into 3 - Solid - Had the remmant genes - Liquid - Had the domminant ones - Solidus - A perfect balance of bouth
*The phylosopher got his hands on this 3 and Naked Snake was know as Big Boss, he created together with Toy Campbell Fox Hound.
*Roy Campbell had a daughter, but to miss a possible scandal she was known to be her niece
*Solid and Liquid were both agents of Fox Hound but didn't known each other. Solid Snake first mission was one year later he was recruited on Fox Hound, destroying was was believed to be the first perfectly functioning Metal Gear. Jack began his training under the tutor of Solidus Snake
*Solid Snake had his second mission on Outer Haven where Big Boss was the man behind everything, trying to bring new super soldiers as himself and solid by training kids and driving the world to a war driven world so he can make profit of selling the ultimate weapon. Metal Gear. Big Boss dies at the hands of Solid Snake. Liquid gets a hold of fox hound and keep on the dream of Big Boss. Solid Snake retires.
*Liquid intention to create aonther outer heaven brings back Solid snake to action by the hands of Roy Campbell. We meet here Otacon and Campbells daughter. Here appears Gray Fox who turns out to be Naomi Hunter, who modified the Fox Die to activate and kill the sons given a certain condition by wich Liquid dies. Liquid dies, Ocelot takes liquid arm and implants it in France
*The Phylosophers got a hold on the MG blueprints and creates another. Snake and Otacon try to bring the truth to the media about the goverment and the phylosopher by exposing pictures of this one. Snake encounter russian forces along the way. Ocelot appears and seeing Snake triggers the genes of Liquid to take over Ocelot. Ocelot is know to be Liquid Ocelot. the convoy explodes believing snake is death
*The big shell operation is a set up of Outer Heaven to create another perfect soldier. I hand't finished this one, but i get that the actual president of USA is solidus snake, who dies by the hand of Raiden. gotta play this one
I'm pretty sure i'm lacking of a lot of stuff over here, I had played bouth the nintendo games, MGS 1 and 3, gotta rerun 2, but still first will be 4
Any information to complete my knowledge will be well recieved, cuz I got lost many on the video, maybe 'll be doing some subs , maybe not, xD
