Preliminary E3 list teases two new Capcom games, Alan Wake still missing

The worker bees at IGN have been busy, buzzing about and gathering lists from some of the major E3 presenters of what's going to be on display in July. Of course, we're sure the powers-that-be have scrubbed these lists clean of any potential product spoilers (if you squint just so, you can barely make out Night Trap 2 ... or is that just us?), but we did want to share a few of the things that popped out:

Two untitled Capcom projects that weren't shown off at their recent CAPtivate event (Dead Rising 2 perhaps?)
Bionic Commando Rearmed: Considering E3's mid-July schedule, and the game's since-lapsed May release target, does this mean Rearmed isn't making a June release either? [Update: A Capcom rep told us the game would definitely be released "post-E3."]
Halo Wars is there, but Alan Wake is still missing from Microsoft's lineup. Unless they're still playing it close to the vest, 2009 then? [Update: A Microsoft rep told us, "We're still finalizing our E3 plans, so we can't comment quite yet."]

Of course, the list is still incomplete; we're missing games from Atari, Codemasters, Crave, Disney, Eidos, Konami, LucasArts, MTV, Nintendo, Sega, Sony Online, Square-Enix, Take-Two, Tecmo, THQ, Ubisoft, and Warner Bros. Interactive. So, yeah ... we're missing lists from just about everyone. It ain't far away now though.

good point Anonim, Im guessing that both Alan Wake and FFXIII have had some issues along the way, at least SE confirmed that FFXIII is being worked on (and still PS3 exclusive, at this point) but with Alan Wake its as if it dropped off the face of the earth

simmcity: Most software takes upward of 4 years to make. This definitely applies to AAA titles such as FFXIII.

Square just likes to announce games too early.

Alan Wake looked awesome. I hope it still hits the PC, but if the 360 version is canned then there's little hope for the PC one. Sigh.

I'm hoping one of those is an announcement that they're localizing Gyakuten Kenji. I know it's early, but now that the US is caught up with Japan in the Ace Attorney series, it would be nice not to have to wait a couple years for each new game in the series.

I simply loved that game.I played Dead Rising for months.I never got the time to get the last 2 achievements (5,7 day survivor) but dude it was awesome.

saddest part? I've seen the best Giant Enemy Crab meme jokes on a Sony console. The first one in Heavenly Sword of course Kai just makes everything better. But the second one was recently in Brave Story on PSP. Where you had an optional boss literally named "Giant Enemy Grab" and as you claim the bounty, you see the magician claim "Yes, Yes,... we struck his weak point for massi.." and Meloda interrupts him lecturing how lame the joke was...

Every other time I've seen companies try to dig at that mean, it comes off as awkward.

I dunno, I thought that the Viva Pinata's "Attack Seedos's weak point for massive seedage" joke was pretty good. Especially after you were rewarded with a ton of seeds for repeatedly whacking him with your shovel.

Oye Ninja Gaiden 2 acabo de leer las revisiones en metacritic y no son muy buenas, dicen que DMC4 es mejor.
Que pasa con los demos últimamente? Ng2,Timeshift, Dark Sector y otros demos me parecieron buenísimos pero las revisiones son pésimas.

Chinga su puta madre a las reviciones. NG2 es mucho mas mejor y divertido que DMC4. Ese juego lo compro mi amigo y leugo luego lo devolvio. :P Me vale madre lo que digan. Dark Sector tambien es un juego muy padre. Esta muy bueno para rentar y jugarlo en un fin de semana, en serio. De Timeshift no eh oido cosas buenas. Nomas puras reacciones meh.

You know,when I saw the 360 debuted at E3 the 3 games I bought the system for were Gears of War,Dead Rising and Alan Wake. Now,about 3 years later,2 are out and the other is still just vaporware.

Sony (even though they're announced):
• God of War 3
• Team Ico's games and Jak & Daxter 4 won't be until TGS.

Sega:
• Sonic Unleased
• Sonic RPG
• Skies of Arcadia 2 (Wii, probably)
• Shenmue 1+2 Wii
• Samba de Amiga
• MAYBE Yakuza (if it's going to come to the west)
• No Space Channel 5 sequel

Konami:
• Elebits 2
• Project S (Snatcher)

Nintendo:
• Kid Icarus
• HDD
• DKC4
• 2D Wii Ware games (actually I'm just hoping for this!)
• Animal Crossing
• Wario Land
• Wii Music (comes with HDD?!)
• Mario Party 9
• Something totally new for the fans, if that rumor holds up.

Square:
• FFXII games
• DQ9
• Most of those MS games they announced

Ubisoft:
• FUCK YOU, UBISOFT.

Edios:
• Tomb Raider
• Do they have anything else worth caring about? Hitman?

And realistically, I think the two Capcom games will be that Mega Man Wii game for sure and probably something else for the Wii. I wouldn't be surprised to see Zack & Wiki 2. Sadly, I highly doubt it'll be Dead Rising 2, as that game sounds like a total non-starter.

That all said, I think the "winner" of E3 will be Nintendo (they HAVE to have something big planned if they're renting out Kodak theater).
The "loser" will be Sony, since like MS last year, they're just showing off the rest of 2008.
MS will kind of fall in the middle, really showing off the games we've known about but hardly seen anything of.

Assassin’s Creed 2 just mentioning this game makes me angry.

AC graphics were impressive for a while after that is mindless repetition until you reach the so predictable sci-fi twist ending. The crappy cliffhanger would’ve been better if the game hadn’t started pointing it was all a dream or a memory.

Anyways thats a good prediction list. It would be funny if Nintendo resurrected Sadness from the grave at E3...lol.

I don't have MS on the list because I think they're goin to play it straight and narrow. No surprises, just show the games we know are coming in the future.
I guess they could show Alan Wake, but I doubt it.

Also, Nintendo has nothing to do with Saddness and that game is just a tax scam on the Polish government.
I do seem to recall Nintendo releasing a list of upcoming games showing Project HAMMER as back from the dead, though...but I can't seem to find the link on Google anywhere.
