While some of it is a bit mundane, there are some rather humorous tidbits scattered about. For instance, how does one take a break every 15-minutes when cut-scenes run longer than that? [By pausing, you troll! - Ed]
Sagacious advice from the MGS4 install screen

In case you were thinking of skipping the approximately 8-minute install (which also translates to 4 or 5 cigarettes for our aged hero) and making a sandwich, consider the little bit of humor you'd be missing. If you're still undeterred and plan to ignore the game while it installs, check out our gallery for the sagacious and spoiler-free advice.

I only see the first 19 images. Where is the gallery with the humorous ones?

So 8-10 minutes of watching Snake smoke? Fun. Granted, I'd still buy MGS4 if I had a PS3. Not trying to hate one it too hard.
What do the other games with required installs have on-screen? Any of them have cut-scenes or some sort of mini-games?

Devil may Cry 4 went over the entire story of the series ...
The majority of them just have text describing various aspects of the game ... similar to a loading screen

MGS4 *spoilers*
The ending is a wrestling match.
Solid Snake & Liquid Snake (yeah, they're on teams) vs. Gas Snake & Plasma Snake
SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE: BIG BOSS
Plasma Snake goes for a Foxhound Stunner on Liquid Snake, but Solid Snake interferes. He then does a spinebuster on Gas Snake and hits the Kojima's Elbow.
1... 2... 3...
Solid Snake & Liquid Snake win... and they're best buds.
YAY!
Oh and Solid Snake dies...
O_o
OH and Raiden runs thru the arena naked

I dont plan on checking out the pics you have made available to me for the simple reason that the added humour is all I'll get out of watching my ps3 load for 8 minutes
Why would you take that away from me?

I watched the whole install screen because I read here it would be humorous. But it wasn't. Just a couple things here and there, like the smoking one. But other than that, I didn't find it humorous, and I think I wasted 8 minutes looking at the screen and almost falling asleep, when I could have been, I dunno, disco dancing?
