Unreal Tournament 3 gets a release, it's July 7th [update]

Europe gets something early? What is this? Bizzaroworld?

Anyway, good stuff, this will be great to relax after my exams.

cool, not only do we Euro 360 owners get UT3 before our American neighbours, but we get it on an American holiday :)

This game is supposedly dead on the PC and PS3, i can't see it lasting to well on Live either. :P

Everytime I see something about this game I keep telling myself, "just in time for everyone to continue not to care".

So far has there been one case of a long delay for a game out on other systems turing up to be a good thing? I keep thinking of games like Universe at War, Quake Wars, UT3. I have the same feeling about World in Conflict.

These games might have done well if they would have come out any time close to that of the other systems.

A good game is still a good game, whether it came out 6 months ago or in one week.

Instead of pretending to be industry analysts shouldn't we just care if a game is fun to play? Personally I like the UT series so it could be delayed for another 6 months and I'd still pick it up.

I think Epic really shot themselves in the foot by waiting so long to release this on 360. I seriously do not know 1 person who is at all interested in picking this game up, myself included. I hope they made enough money on the PS3 version (and via Sony's payoff) to cover their development costs, because this game is pretty likely to bomb in 360 sales.

The one thing they could have done (maybe) to boost sales was to include a Marcus Fenix and a Locust skin but instead they're giving 360 owners "exclusive" Gears 2 *videos* that we'll all end up watching on the internet, for free, 5 minutes after this game is released. Good work, Epic.

On the other hand, include a Gears 2 demo or multplayer beta ticket...UT3 would break a million overnight. Oops...

I'm going to pick up the PS3 version so I can get mods.

What Epic needs to realize is that now we live in a post-UT world, a world where the series just isn't relevant any more. 6 months ago, it would have done good. Maybe even great. But now the world just doesn't need it anymore. We have great games to occupy ourselves with, like Iron Man, and Turning Point Fall of Liberty, and an upcoming summer full of hits like Hail to the Chimp, and Space Chimps.

The funny part is that I could had told you guys it was releasing on 7/7 when I pre-ordered it last month.

Great...it releases while I'm away on vacation. I don't have enough time to game as things stand now! :(
