High Voltage loves the readers of Wii Fanboy. Following up the package of screens they hooked us up with recently, they've just now sent over four new exclusive screens. That's right, folks, you can only get these screens here at Wii Fanboy. Even better, you're the first to see the new enemy variant above. How awesome is that?
So, head on into the gallery and check them out. The first image starts here!

Who is High Voltage and what has its members worked on previously? Anybody know? I need to get an idea of the talent involved here.

Actually, who High Voltage is is what's keeping me from getting really amped about this

here's a year-by-year list of some of the gems they've put out
2008: Go Diego Go! Safari Adventure
2007: Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law (admittedly a well-written game, but it would've worked better as an episode of the show, and not a game at all)
2006: The Family Guy Game
2005: 50 Cent Bulletproof: G-Unit Edition
2004:Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Lade

I'd say it's pretty likely that they were making shovelware and licensed crap so that they could make something like this, Mr. Khan.
They're still an unproven developer as far as original stuff goes, though.

The new shots look really nice, but I have to admit that they still seem pretty "fuzzy"

When Joystiq pre-empted Wiifanboy and linked to this gallery, I was kinda amazed at the dismissal of the graphics as 'last gen.'
I think these are far better than anything on the Xbox, PS2 and Gamecube. The characters seem to have noticeably more polygons (based on the smoother edges). And I look at the hand, the fingers seem to be differentiated rather than the usual 'mitten' hand. The textures look more detailed. Find a PS2 or Xbox game that looks better than, if even as good as these shots.
Now, we know they've said they have hit 30 FPS but are trying to get to 60 FPS, which is significant.
We haven't gotten a really good idea of the distance for the scenes, but these shots show that the Wii is indeed somewhere between the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox and PS3/360 graphics.

So why is every one having such a nerd-gasm over this game? The bastard child of Turok2, Redsteel and Goldeneye? Is that supposed to be innovative? If it's the graphics people are really excited for then whatever happened to the old Wii adage of Gamplay trumps all? When omeone reports on how this thing controls, perhaps then will people have a reason to even care, really. Besides it doesn't even look that good, let's be honest here. While we should commend a new developer starting up a new, mature-like IP on the Wii I don't think that should cloud everyone's judgement into thinking this is going to be some messiah of FPS... generic doesn't even begin to describe the way this looks. Did everyone forget this is the system with MP3? So yeah... why does everyone care again?

Same question could go to you, why are you so negative? I think people are happy with the developers comments from a little while ago saying that the wii is capable of much more graphically and deserves more hardcore games. That and the wii is in dire need of a good FPS with some online multiplayer.
Thanks for the screens NWF

If negative is begging the questions for lucidity then call em negative all you want. I said we should of course commend developers for their efforts, but let's not get carried away by as of yet, completely unfounded flights of fancy...

If this one doesn't like you, well, they can't satisfy every one, just let other be happy with this. You gave your opinion don't make it sound like you are the ultimate one to have reason and everyone should follow, it will only make seem like a bad person to everyone who did like this

Seems negative to me. You shouldn't be so worried about what other people get excited over. I am looking forward to it and so are others. Why do you care really?

Gosh, excellent points. I shouldn't care that you care that I care that you care that... FUCK the semantic insanity. I should have known better than to try and comment on an internet blog.

Wii Fanboy-
You should try and set up an interview with someone from High Voltage with reader submitted questions. That would roxor.

Been wanting to say this before, but now I'm sure. We've been had by the nose. They may try hard, but those graphics do not even surpass metroid prime in any way, let alone looking like an xbox 360 game. Have you ever played a 360 game? This does not even come close. Everyone says the graphics are great because thats what the developer wants us to believe, its called marketing and soft form of propaganda.
It looks acceptable, nothing more nothing less.
