Its been traditionally late June to mid July most years. Though since E3 went small scale they have varied a bit more on their target dates.

What the hell are you on about? Redundant? This could turn out to be an amazingly good RTS for consoles, since it's been built exclusively for it.
Look at Civilization Revolution - it's been built ground up for consoles only and it works FANTASTICALLY. It's so streamlined compared to prior PC Civs that it's amazingly user friendly.
I think this game is going to be the next big step for RTS games on consoles, so I'd hardly call it "redundant"

Even if it's redundant because it's Halo, it's still and RTS built with consoles in mind, which hasn't been done yet, at least not successfully.
