Guys, got some answers for you. Some of the commercials are based around the various corporations in the warbased economy. Example, the one with the robotic Mantis is for Praying Mantis Survellience. You will run into the various PMCs that paid for those ads. Basically the commercials emphasis how War has changed. Can't explain why the hell Sunny is singing random numbers while cooking eggs though.

But yeah, sit back and enjoy the fruits of Kojima's insane labors.

I was one of the "crazy" people who wrote new music (after tabbing out the original chords and reusing them in a new order, and even sampling part of the original song) and with an original lyrical melody. I guess I got confused and thought you meant that we should write a song when you said "Now you're a Songwriter". Anyway, it's what the original newspost for the competition asked for ("Don't feel shackled though, if you want to bust out some musicianship or editing skill on your submission, go crazy. Be creative.") so I think it's pretty cold to make fun of and insult those of us who put the effort in to do something a little more creative (sure, I'll admit I just crapped out a lazy, half-assed metal song, but it took a bit more creativity than doing karaoke madlibs, I thought). I hope you at least enjoyed a break from hearing the same song over and over and over.

Don't understand how you guys can not finish Crisis Core. Its like a 12 hour game with a good ending. The last few chapters are pretty fun, just forget all side missions and play through the story.

I know this was a long one, but more Joystiq is always a good thing. I'm hoping you have a secret competition with 1up Yours as to who has the longest podcast each week.

God I love this podcast.

I tried to be creative in my entry, and I know that I'm one of the people you were talking about. I busted out some musicianship and editing skills, because I was under the impression that I was supposed to. I thought you'd appreciate my effort in exhibiting some skill or creativity. I didn't expect you to suggest that I shouldn't have bothered.

I used the chord progressions from the original song and rearranged the sections. I played the music myself, and kept one of the drum rhythms. I thought it was easy to tell that it was derived from the mp3 you posted. I must have been wrong.

I find it disappointing, however, that you guys can't follow your own criteria for the contest, let alone the contractual deadlines. I find it surprising as well, that after all of that, and with only 25 entries, you feel justified in mocking some of your entrants.

To cap it all off, your parent company now has the rights to my music (whether it's worth listening to or not). What a slap in the face.

c'mon dudes, i beat Ninja Gaiden II on Warrior mode. it's tough but it takes practice. if i can do it, you can do it!

btw, i agree, MGS4 is AWESOME even tho the controls are just as annoying. but the story is amazing...
