Wii Warm Up: Channel surfing

A Netflix channel.

Mario Kart channel, Mii Contest Channel, Everybody Votes Channel, Mii Channel are the ones I use most. (not counting Disc Channel, because that's really obvious)

Mii channel, everybody votes channel, mario kart wii channel, Nintendo Channel and some VC games.

I love the Everybody Votes Channel. I know some people think it's a bit meh, but I am addicted to it and love having a little vote before I go to bed. Infact I have not missed a single vote since it was launched.

Hmmm well I've been wanting a GoldenEye 64 since it bugs me that all those games made by Rare that use up alot of memory don't work.

Why can't I have a VC channel with all my games listed in there?

I've got 18 channels.

I did a purge this week of channels. I had them all bar the Metroid Preview, and realising that I didn't do much surfing from the wii, the internet channel I archived to SD, along with Everyone Votes and a few downloaded VC games.

So got weather and news still though I never use them, my 4yo loves the Mii Contest channel and photo channel, mario kart and wiifit

24 or two full screens of channels. I used to have more but had to delete lots of stuff. I've downloaded over $200 worth of VC titles. And that was before Wiiware launched. Now I'm impatiently awaiting the release of some sort of harddrive or something. Anything!

Not many channel right? Its only, I only got right my internet a coupe of weeks ago, so I hadn't given much time to download more stuff, for the momment, i'm enjoying my games and the homebrew scene, :P

I have 11 channels including Internet Channel, My Nintendo, Star Soldier R, My Pokemon Ranch & The Little King and the Promised Land.

I have nearly used up my 5000 WiiPoint on the 3 WiiWare games (only 100 points left)

The most used channel is of course Disc Channel, sometimes I may use My Nintendo Channel or play the Little King, others are rarely touched.

I have 16 channels. Seven being Virtual Console games and one being a Wii Ware game. The rest are all that mumbo jumbo Nintendo gives you for free.

I have about 3 channels left and 150 blocks. I was bitching and moaning about not having a hard drive, but transfering back and forth between a SD card has been no big deal, I'm almost ashamed of how much I've spent on VC games, but I be damned if there is a better baseball sim than Bases Loaded!

Disk, Internet, News, Weather, Photo, Mii, Nintendo, Votes (although I might as well delete that), and Shop. Haven't spent a penny on Wii points (got internet browser before they started charging).

I'm hoping WiiWare (and maybe a 'budget' line of Virtual Console-- 2600 and some of the smaller NES games for $1, anyone?) will grow to provide a virtual 'arcade'-- things I can just flip my Wii on and point at; not have to worry about disks and things. Fun, creative, and addictive things.

I really wish Nintendo would either cut VC costs (again, at least for a few 'budget' titles) or release some things for free. Maybe include free games with new titles; Buy Mario Kart Wii and get Super Mario Kart. Buy Twilight Princess and get OOT. Buy Galaxy and get World. Buy Prime 3, get Super Metroid.

A demo channel also wouldn't kill them. They wouldn't even have to set up a "demo" mode like they complain about, they could do it exactly like SSBB-- you get a few minutes to play a game, and after that you're kicked out. Maybe tie it to the Wii account so that you're kicked out forevers. This would be great for VC and Wiiware; of course actual wii games would be great too. Maybe ask developers to deliver free demos of full games in smaller forms via Wiiware.

11 channels altogether at the moment. 2 Wiiware games, 1 VC Game, and a handful of other channels. I tend to be somewhat frugal with my purchases so I just don't have a lot of entries.

I'd love to see a "DVD" channel, an updated Browser with Flash support for modern sites, and an "External Storage" channel. :) (OK, so that last one wouldn't really be a channel, but still hoping....)

I could see something for the Netflix idea, but it's more of a streaming media thing than a particular brand to me. I know that I can use Orb from my PC with some hacking, but the quality is a little low for my tastes. xVid or DivX streaming would be cool to me. That would allow me to turn the Wii into a set-top streaming box for media on my PC.

Most of my channels are Homebrew apps, but that's probably going to change once I move them all to the Homebrew channel.

Now if only I could do that with my VC games. Get with it, Nintendo.

I don't play the wii much, but I have 24 games and two channels beause I do not like looking t blank spaces. Pus they must be organized by title and system.
