Castle Crashers jumps through another hoop, gets rated 'Teen'

We love the Xbox Live Arcade Service (fanboy placation: we love the PlayStation Network and WiiWare too), but it's a well-known fact that there are a number of hurdles a finished game has to clear before it can find its way onto the imponderable internets. One of said hurdles, labeled "the rating process" is actually three-hundred feet tall, covered in flaming, poison-coated spikes, and surrounded by a moat filled with bull sharks in mating season. Metaphorically speaking, of course.
Thankfully, in an act of incredible vaulting prowess, Behemoth's upcomingracist multiplayer beat-'em-up Castle Crashers recently cleared said hurdle, receiving a decisive "Teen" rating (the German judges, obviously confused and unimpressed, gave the effort a 7.5). There are a number of other hoops the adorable brawler must jump through before attaining that coveted XBLA certification, but we're hopeful that we'll be storming cartoon strongholds relatively soon.

The Behemoth is a pretty small team. So, it would take them a lot longer to finish a game than, say, EA.

That and they more or less redid the whole thing over as well.

Wait, small team is an excuse now? Face it, this is taking an unusually large amount of time. Still looking forward to it but let's call a duck a duck.

it isnt taking too much tme, like i said they talked about it too early. most xbox arcade games arnt talked about til a few montsh ahead of release, that and this game is haveing far more put into it then most xbla titles.
some people talk way to much shit without even knowing all that goes into working on a project.
also its been done for a few weeks now, its the certification process that takes a while

If I remember correctly, they just about had the game done when Microsoft raised the size limit for XBLA games. The Behemoth then dragged it back to the drawing board and made it a much bigger game.
Regardless, I can't fucking wait for it.

So true...so true. I played the crap out of Rez for a while and haven't touched it since. I imagine such is the fate of all XBLA games.

The one thing that will certainly end up saving this game is the price. If it were a full featured release at retail price it would bomb hard. I look forward to finally playing this little title. Hopefully it will offer something new to the XBLA Marketplace.

Actually... while I do think the whole idea of Castle Crashers being "rascist" is absurds, I can see how this lady made the assumption...
Clearly, the main characters are Templars... and from the videos they have shown, idiots can believe they are committing ethnic cleansing against the Muslims, who are portrayed as evil monsters and trolls.

i looked after i posted and started to think it could be his right in a really awkward position. then i saw his shield arm. i figure its just a drawing so it doesn't matter that if its his right arm is reaching past his left shoulder so far. then i saw that it could be his leg and he was jumping. instead of keep trying to figure it out i let my first thought and post stand. i know how a drawing can get confused on completion thats why i don't think there is a hidden message in the gta chick with 6 fingers

It's so close, but so far away.
Can't wait for it, Behemoth does a good job on their game making. And Dan Paladin's art is awesome.
