The speculated increase in tracks is great, Forza 2 ended up just being racing the same track over and over. Let's hope they make the discs better this time too, I'm still waiting to borrow my friends disc because my copy can't load King Cobra or any Silverstone circuit.

While the limitations of DVD are becoming more and more disheartening for the lifespan of the 360, I think Forza 3 will come out great.

Gran Turismo 2 was a 2 disc game.

Dude, its just one game. And i'd rather have to spend 30 seconds switching a disk than spend 10 minutes waitiong for the next part of the game to install.

There are games when switching disks is not a problem, because they have a linear history. A driving game is not linear so what will be the time be in the game when you need to switch disks? when you change to a track on the other disk? another family of cars?. Maybe some kind of hard disk caching will make this easier to the player, save the more used tracks on the cache for example

Forza doesn't have an extensive 'arcade' mode - and seperating the single player from multiplayer wouldn't work as it uses almost identical assets.

This rumour is just awful. I'd prefer the developers to just limit the number of cars, rather than the insane amount of problems this would cause trying to play online.

why not have the option of having disc 2 installed onto the Hard Drive?

that wouldnt effect the Core/Arcade users as they could use the second disc.

@Jonathan,

Christ, did 360Fanboy rape your sister or something? Why all of the hate? Wait... let me rephrase that; why on earth is this so important to you? Please put down the keyboard and go outside. Make some friends, *maybe* even get laid... whatever you do though, calm down man, it's bad for your health to get this worked up; and if rumors being posted on a blog get you this worked up, I'd hate to think what happens whenever something that actually matters goes down in your life. The stress will kill you man, and it's just not worth it.

Uh...you're welcome.

Now post this:

1. Lips is a music and singing game that includes 30 songs, 2 wireless interactive microphones, the ability to use and sing your own music or downloaded songs from an online service. Designed to have fun with friends, Lips scores you on your singing (pitch, rhythm, and tune) and overall performance.
Wireless mics are interactive, with lights on the shaft of the microphone that pulse to the rhythm of your voice, and motion sensors that allow you to dance, move or swing to score points.
Take songs from a CD or your ipod, and upload them into the game. The game will reduce the vocals so you can sing along and be heard, and score on whether you're in tune. Lyrics can also be added directly into the song to sing along.

2. Tony Hawk Huck Jam to use balance board on 360.

3. Transformers 2, Ultimate Allaince 2 for 360

4. Guitar Hero 4 will have touch sensitive guitar. Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, System of a Down, Ozzy Osbourne, Interpol, Muse "and dozens more".

5. Avatars : With hundreds of clothing options to choose from your 'Avatar' can truly reflect you each and every day!
Spend a few minutes or a few hours building and outfitting your 'Avatar' to reflect the real you. The choice is yours.
Your 'Avatar' will represent you as you jump into various arcade and retail games. You'll be playing in the games!

6. Scene It? Pop Culture Edition.

Yeah, and yet you cite no sources or tipsters.

"It's coming from the same source we had this morning! Even though we had it this morning and didn't post this all for hours and hours later!"

Whatever. X3F sucks anyway. "Star Ocean 4 is confirmed to be multiplatform because it's trailer was debuted on a PSP"...ugh, wtf?

So wait GH4 and GH:World tour are not the same thing? but why do I care I hate shit like GH and RB

Forza seems cool but I still believe GT5 will be the best racer

Forza 3 starting to look like an 09 release so maybe it and GT5 will compete for better racer.

Forza 3 better include a better Race wheel with a Clutch

Not sure about the 2 disc part...i mean, Single player/Multiplayer? It would suck to have to swap discs just to play online...if they can fit GTA IV/Oblivion/Mass Effect/The Orange Box on a single DVD, then i'm sure they can fit Forza 3 on a single DVD. Perhaps they could put all the non-essential (interviews and such) on the second disc ;)

Couldn't agree more, the only time a 2 disk racing game becomes cumbersome is if you constantly have to change disk because half the cars or otpions are on the second disk, meaning you constantly have to switch back and fourth, that will drive me mental. If its done well, I dont think two disks will be an issue.

Hopely we get 20-24 player online.

the first disc is single player while the second disc is all multiplayer hopely that doesn't happen

GT5 is gonna have atleast 20 or above online so FM3 better push the limits to compete

Forza keeps on annoying me even between games! There are too many non-factory cars, i hate all the ones snazzied up with race paint like they're ready to run LeMons. I'd rather have GTRs, R8s, etc.

and 100 tracks? please, im sure there will just be 5 or 6 tracks with different routes, there have never been anywhere near enough tracks in these games. I would take (and still play) PGR2 over all of the Forzas, and any of the new PGR's.

I'd love to have Watkins Glen and Infineon in it. WG is a very historic track and Infineon looks like it would be very fun. (As you can tell, I like NASCAR...please don't turn it into another NASCAR 'debate'.) I'm halfway done with Forza2's career and am starting to get tired of the tracks.

I'm hoping that they provide you with an option to install some of the game to the hard drive and avoid the disc shuffle. Almost every PS3 game does some type of HD install for performance reasons. I wouldn't see a problem with games on the 360 doing an HD install to get around DVD9 limitations.

Maybe that's why we've got 60GB SKU forthcoming?

With Blu-Ray on the PS3, you get mandatory installs. While the disc itself holds tons of information, the data can't be accessed very quickly. Hence, some of the game must be installed on the hard drive.

There's a clear trade-off. I'm not sure if one is clearly superior, but the depth of MGS4 shows the potential of the console and it's new fangled media.

Eitherway, just a rumor. But honestly, I'd accept 2 disks for 100 tracks. not sure how they'd separate it though...

2 DVD9's [~18GB] are smaller in size than a single-layer blu-ray disc [~25GB].. so yes, 100 tracks can easily fit on a blu-ray

I understand basic math....

I was saying that I didn't think taht 100 tracks could fit on 2 DVDs (18gb) OR a BR (25gb)

I was thinking it would be way larger than that..
