I bet this is where those motion control rumors came from a while back.

Didn't they already try this on Xbox? Or will they actually put effort into it this time?

Yeah they did...the Xbox Music Mixer. I bought it cheap to get songs from my PC to my Xbox (orig Xbox hated CD-R/RW'. Never tried the singing part, but looked crap in comparison to SingStar. Was more on the karaoke side than the SingStar side

What I really liked about the Music Mixer was it's visuals which were pretty great for back in the day. I never really liked karaoke all that much or games like SingStar, just not my bag.

But who knows, this could end up being really great...or really shiatty!

Yeah...Microsoft is doing a damn-fine job of innovating this year if I do say so myself.

Sounds like another way Microsoft is trying to get the Xbox to be popular in Japan.

Singstar is proving to be a hit in Europe, so this can only be a positive move for the 360, no doubt Sony will follow this up with a new and improved mic.

Proving? The singstar brand has been out for so damn long saying proving makes it sound bad.

I'd say that since its got 16 standalone Singstar games out, that its pretty damn successful

yea Maverick Saturn, talk about not doing your research. Singstar has been a pretty big Sony game since the PS2 days. not as much here in the US but in the worldwide audience.

itll be 14 games released in the UK as of June 20th (with Singstar Vol. 2 for PS3) compared to 7 released in the US. (hence why you probably thought it was just "proving" itself)

Going by the thought that my most favorite game I've played would be the one that's brought me the most joy/entertainment, I'd have to say the Singstar series would easily top the list...and that makes me sad as a gamer :/

I am going to be real mature and say that:

"lights on the shaft of the microphone that pulse to the rhythm of your voice, and motion sensors that allow you to dance, move or swing to score points"

I already have that game ... in my pants.

As for the game, this is exactly what I want from MS. More non-violent non-puzzle games. Perfect.
