Video: Halo 3's Cold Storage in action
15
As you're well aware, with Bungie's surprise Halo 3 Cold Storage reveal at MLG San Diego we only received a few not so clear off-screen pictures of the new map being played at the event. Not the best look at Bungie's latest Halo 3 multiplayer map masterpiece, but we had to deal. Well, thanks to a helpful MLG attendee, we now have video footage of Cold Storage being played and even though it's off-screen footage like the photos, it's a video and that means it's six times better. And to be honest, we aren't all that familiar with Cold Storage's inspiration Chill Out, so we can't garner an opinion just yet. But we do like the blue teleporters. They seem very chill.

Chill Out was an excellent map for Shotty deathmatch. Now they just have to remake Prisoner - best Rocket deathmatch map...

I fully agree with this comment. Rockets on Prisoner was a staple back in the day.

"That's the first teleporter in Halo 3"
That guy obviously has never heard of or played Avalanche.

Dude, why the hell would you call it Chilly? Chili's a condiment, it's clearly chill for short. Damnation is abbreviated with that way because it's a long name and has a ring.

Seems interesting. Wonder when it will be released. Maybe they will do a special free map thing sponsored by MLG.

I wish they would just make a map and release it, and not do the huge map pack stuff. Its just 3 maps, not a huge event. I hope this does get released this summer.

I was at MLG on Sat... Cold Storage is a GREAT map. It's not too fancy, just a clean arena.
And I agree, just release the darn map. It's 100% finished, from what I saw. They played a long match on it.

You are not perfectly familiar with Chill Out? As an author on a Xbox blog? sad.

Hopefully they fixed the serious balance issues with 2 flag ctf that existed in Halo 1, but i guess a lot has changed since Halo 1 with weapons, equipment and all. It could go either way being an awesome remake of a classic map, or another butchered remake i.e. the Hang 'Em High remake from Halo 2.
