I really really want this, but I live in the UK and all shops near me that get imported DS titles in have stopped, because the supplier they get them from have whacked the price up a lot, so no more imports for me.

:(

I know the shipping is pretty crappy, but why not order online?

I definitely agree on the difficulty. One of the things that makes the game easy is the fact that you are practically invincible when you are charging up skills so you can just keep spamming the same skills over and over and come out of a boss fight relatively unscathed.

I thought this to be a little repetitive...
Area 1 - kill baddies; Area 2 - wipeout baddies; Area 3 - savepoint; Area 4 - more baddies; Area 5 - guess what? yep, kill some more baddies; Area 6 - save again; Area 7 - boss area....
I don't know... maybe I just didn't put much time on it... but I'd advise to buy Etrian Odyssey instead [if you're a masochist, that is]

That's a good point; the formula does get reused a lot. Since the enemies were different in each chapter and the gameplay was fun, though, I found it more of an addictive repetition than a stale repetition. Since you don't have to grind to beat the game, too, I might have been a little forgiving on this point.

But yeah, that's something to keep in mind, thanks for mentioning it.

Is EO not also about killing a lot of "baddies"?

I'm sorry, but your review leaves out important tidbit: is it turn based or is it real time?
