More Offspring tracks coming to Rock Band

A few of you are probably too young to remember, but there was a time in the late 90s when you couldn't turn on the radio or MTV (yes, MTV used to play videos) without seeing pop punk outfit The Offspring. Now, with a new album and a new track on Rock Band, they seem to be set for a resurgence of some sort, though it's unclear how successful the effort will be.

Those who want to recapture the halcyon days of 1998 will be happy to hear that the band is bringing several more songs to the rhythm game, according to their website. The list includes:

"Come Out And Play [Keep 'Em Separated]"
"Self Esteem"
"Gone Away"
"All I Want"
"Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)"
"The Kids Aren't Alright

There's no timetable listed, but we wouldn't be surprised to see an "Offspring Track Pack" in the near future.

They are not pop punk really. Just punk/rock. They should bring out "Why don't you get a job?" too. But, seriously, they need more punk on Rock band. Give me Pennywise, Rise Against, The Casualties, and Anti-Flag. Just more punk in general. Ska would be cool too. Actually, very cool. I would love me some Reel Big Fish in it.

I like to think I'm wise =). I would also like "The Impression That I Get" by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

"Pretty Fly" is a definate download, as it'll be a hit at parties. Meanwhile, "Kids Aren't Alright" will be a strong song for those that just want to rock out.

Consider those two bought.

Hammerhead is fun in RB, but these will blow it out of the water.

Awesome, I would of liked one or 2 more but I cant argue with what has been picked. There all classic Offspring. Looking forward to this one. Hopefully it comes July 4th weekend.

The Offspring was my favorite band in high school, my tastes have changed a little since then but I'd buy them for nostalgia factor.

The Offspring is my favorite band! Can't friggin' wait til this is out! They don't have "I Choose" though, which is my favorite song... But still: AMAZING!

the offspring is straight up punk rock. RB needs more of it. i agree with whoever said we need some Pennywise. and what about Social D? Social d ANYONE?

and he may not be a really great singer as in ability to sing, but his voice just sounds so badass! i love that shit.

to who said Ixnay sucks...its one of my least favorite of their albums, but Gone Away is awesome, and i cant help but laugh when i hear the disclaimer and Intermission.

my personal favorite is Splinter. one of my favorite albums ever.
