Next Need for Speed going 'Undercover' in 2009
Riccitiello said that the next iteration, Need for Speed: Undercover will have a strong mission structure and a similarity to the Jason Statham action classic. "For those of you who ever saw movies like The Transporter - it's sort of a cult classic among people with a B-movie mentality, which fits me perfectly," he said. "I liked it. I apologize. For those of you with no taste, and you liked it too, we can go have a Schlitz after this."
Don't worry John, we're right there with you. We're just heartbroken that we're apparently going to have wait until 2009 to partake of the fruits of your genius.

I just hope it's better then ProStreet. It was boring and felt like a chore to play. I love the series but they need to add the cops again.

agreed.
as a huge Jason Statham fan i hope this lives up to my expectations, and that includes running from police.

Transporter 1 > Transporter 2
Maverick Saturn @ Jun 18th 2008 2:10PM
Can't disagree with that, T2 was so exaggerated
Obie @ Jun 18th 2008 2:23PM
Yeah Transporter 2 was retarded, only Statham and that whacked out lingerie killer chick made it semi-watchable.
Hashbrown Hunter @ Jun 18th 2008 2:26PM
Crank owned all. That movie was wicked awesome.

If you can read the following formula:
Transporter 2 < Any Movie In Existence
And nod your head, you should never see a movie again.

If they bring back Razer Callahan then EA will have redeemed themselves after the joke of a racing game that is ProStreet.
UnnDunn @ Jun 18th 2008 3:37PM
Five grand. FIVE GRAND!
Still cracks me up. Most Wanted is definitely the best NFS game in recent years.
arrrgh @ Jun 18th 2008 2:14PM
one thing pro street DID have going for it was its sheer feel of speed. That made it wicked fun with a force feedback wheel....but still only for a good half hour. God bless demos!!
Bad Mojo @ Jun 18th 2008 2:17PM
Sounds like it could got he way of Driver or Wheelman.
But I did loves me some Transporter 1 movie action.
Einhanderkiller @ Jun 18th 2008 2:25PM
We need more Most Wanted-style cutscenes!
riggs @ Jun 18th 2008 2:59PM
NFS needs a complete overhaul(no pun?) like burnout.
VOS @ Jun 18th 2008 3:16PM
Is it too hard to ask for a Hot Pursuit 3 instead of this bullshit?
WiNG [Life in a Game] @ Jun 18th 2008 3:26PM
I didn't play ProStreet, but NFS Carbon was actually very good. It was a vast improvement over the Underground series.
mundox @ Jun 18th 2008 4:46PM
Transporter 1 was great, 2 on the other hand was pure crap.
Saria the Cat @ Jun 18th 2008 11:35PM
I loved this guy from Snatch!
importuner923 @ Jun 18th 2008 6:47PM
No i loved upgraping my car in underground. Plus if you get rid of street racing you will lose a large group of people. I know one thing and thats that I am not buying this game. =(
Angry Gamer @ Jun 19th 2008 5:56AM
NFS HP2 + NFS MW + Burnout style speed + Customization + Lots and lots of cops + Massive cop chases + more speed = what NFS should be
Sukaru Kiddo @ Jun 19th 2008 6:36PM
Yes my friend, that is what they should do and the game will be good again!
a phoolish 001 @ Jun 25th 2008 12:17AM
most wanted was kick ass. but my all time favorite nfs game was underground 2. i mean all the upgrades to the the vehicles was jsut amazing. and who doesnt want 4 subs, 2 amps, and a couple 12 inch flatscreens in their trunk while the are riding on some 18 inch wheeles wit the pulsing ground effects under their skirts, torching about 5 other cars.
racer6 @ Jul 24th 2008 9:49PM
The storyline in Carbon and the action of Most Wanted is the best direction for the Franchise. I think the should have better rendering of the cars.
