Tecmo seeks to gag Itagaki with suppression order

- Disclosing, destroying or leaking Tecmo's trade secrets, especially those concerning software, development and marketing
- Making false or misleading statements about Tecmo's business policies and strategies, or criticizing games developed by other Tecmo employees
- Making defamatory remarks to damage Tecmo's reputation
- Making public statements about Tecmo, or accepting media invitations (e.g., interviews) to discuss Tecmo while still employed (until July 1) by the company

Tecmo or no, slapping a piece of tape over Itagaki's mouth could perhaps one of the best things to happen to the games industry in recent years. still, its very inexcusable for a company to treat its employees like this, even one who likes to spout nonsense and feel-up the ladies.

How can they stop him from talking about Tecmo? Why wouldn't he be able to criticize games made by other Tecmo employees?
As long as he's not slandering anyone or revealing company secrets, I don't see what the problem is.

The only thing that Ive ever heard him say that rubbed me the wrong way is when he dissed Tekken. NOT.COOL.

Well after seeing the movie cast with only Eddie Gordo being the person I liked, and Tekken 6 looking like a dubbed up version of Tekken 5 thus far, as of now, I can't blame him.

Fair enough... but this is the man behind DEAD OR ALIVE.
Let's just put it this way, Jin Kazuya animated battle with a Velociraptor looks like Citizen Kane compared to the Dead Or Alive movie and aside from making an M-Rated Sexy Beach 3, what else has he done with Dead Or Alive.
Not to mention he's said he's the ONLY good Japanese developer.

Its fairly standard to make employees sign agreements that say they aren't going to do these things. Tecmo is being proactive about enforcing it, probably because Itagaki has already started badmouthing them.

Internationally, it isn't really needed to be a rule. What Itagaki has done so far is possibly one of the most scandalous things in Japanese business this year.
