We're coming up on the second anniversary of our favorite console this November, and with the supply of Wii consoles still not catching up with the demand, we were wondering how many of you out there are still hunting for a system still? Are you hunting one down for yourself or for somebody else? Already have one, had your folks try it, now they want you to find them one?

In the last month or so, supply seems to have welled up enough that all of the people I know who want one got one.

Everyone's got Wii's in now, so there's no point in looking anymore. When demand was still alot higher than Supply, I went out and bought 7 Wii's for family and friends. I've only sold 1 on Ebay and 1 on Craigslist for profit. The others were for folks that were looking for Wii's so we could play online.

They are still in sort demand, that I know. But everyone who's been looking that I know of has since found one... it's not to say that they haven't been looking for a long time.
Now Wii Fit, that's another matter entierly.

I've had one since Feb. 2007, and nearly all of my friends that want one (and were seriously looking for one) have it by now. The only people I know that don't have one are interested in a few games, but aren't all that nuts about getting up early on a Sunday to grab one, or don't want to spend extra on a bundle just yet...
I _still_ never see them at Wal-Mart or Target (...or BB or CC...) here in St. Louis, but I hear they last longer on Sunday mornings just outside of town...

I finally managed to get my hands on one 4 weeks ago! And even then I still had problems. I put my order over at Jhon Lewis online, got to the check out only to be told that they were sold out, and did I want to wait.
Couple hours later, Amazon had some. Needless to say, I typed faster through out the checkout process. It arrived 2 days later!!!!!

I've had mine since release date. I had to wait 3 hours early in front of a gamestop in october to preorder. Then get at gamestop at open to get it a month later....I know in Maryland they are still hard to find if you aren't "looking" for one.

I got the last one from Tesco on April 24th. I was really glad. The thing I'm having to try and look for is Wii Fit. I hate Germany, hogging all of the good stuff. Let's hope I can get Brawl on the 27th, or the same week.

I got my Wii the February after release, but I'd been actively looking. Everyone I know IRL that wants one has one. Even my non gamer sister and slightly NON-game friendly best friend has one. There's usually one or two sitting in the case at the Walmart in my town in Maine. WiiFit too. Small town supply is good.

Well, I haven't tried looking, but my sister wants me to buy her a Wii with the money I've started making (just got my first job). I imagine it wouldn't be easy.

That's not true. I've seen a few Wii in stock. It just doesn't help that there are some assholes who hog Wii and try to gouge people on eBay.

I've seen one or two in the wild recently, but I never see them when someone I know is looking for one.
