A week with Spore Creature Creator: Day Three

In our quest to familiarize ourselves with the laws of nature (and subsequently defy them), this week we're going to share at least five abominations, one each day, that we've concocted in Spore Creature Creator. You can keep track of this our progress via our various profile pages:

Today's highlights include a living guitar, a chocobo and a failed attempt at recreating the faun from Pan's Labyrinth. You can see all the creatures from the week starting here. Each page contains a link to the creature's respective Sporepedia page where you can download and edit our work.

what is the difference between the free and $10 CC?

The free version only comes with about 25% of the content for customizing and the $10 one comes with everything.

I have the demo, and the amount of content is pretty slim. You'd might as well pick up the full version for $10.

I enjoyed the demo, but really want the full creator to get here. There are a lot of interesting things being made by people-mostly infuenced by their nightmares it would seem.

I must say I am very impressed at the Chocobo and guitar. How user-friendly is the Creature Creator, anyway? Is it as impressive a feat as I imagine to create something that even closely resembles an object or animal/character you're familiar with?

The thing's a marvel of user interface, full of layers of more and more advanced ways to create your creature. At every turn, the thing inspires you to be creative. The most immersive experience for me, and I seriously lost hours of time to just having so much fun building stuff. You can get about 60% of the material from torrent sites like PirateBay, which I did.

I'm so getting this game and luanch day and chaining myself to the computer.
