LucasArts confirms Star Wars: The Clone Wars games for DS, Wii
After teasing Wii- and DS-exclusive Star Wars titles on the back of the Lego Indiana Jones manual, LucasArts has confirmed to VentureBeat that a pair of games, based on the upcoming Clone Wars animated movie and TV show, will indeed be heading to Nintendo's platforms. Players with a love of space operas and a high tolerance for clones (and colons) can look forward to playing Star Wars The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance, a DS game from LucasArts's studio in Singapore, and Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels, a Wii-bound, wand-waving fencing fest from Krome Studios. Both titles are expected to beam onto shelves this November.
Darn, that was a Star Trek reference, wasn't it? We'll get it right next time.

Outside of Darth Maul; it's the only thing about the prequels worth a look. :\

Why not for the other consoles, this makes no sense.

Because they don't want to... Benefits to having all three... Confirmed...

Because the other consoles don't have the Wii's Wagglicious controller for proper lightsaber duels.

Um... because they are going to suck and have low, low budgets and expectations? Blame it on the waggle but Force Unleashed has waggle and still made it onto all platforms.
Shovelware crossbreed with franchisespam. A tasty dish.

I thought that The Force Unleashed was already going to have lightsaber duels...

One word...FINALLY!
Though it's not going to be one-to-one motion, it's going to be close. Whatever that means. And the multiplayer looks like it's going to be great (per IGN's interview). I didn't see online play mentioned though...

My Expectations: High for the series, low for the games
Mr Khan @ Jun 19th 2008 12:37PM
From what i've seen, mine are kinda low for the series, too
Why, Why did they ditch Tartakovsky?
AwesomeTown @ Jun 19th 2008 12:49PM
I've tried to avoid much of the info about the series, keeping them high. I just hope it doesn't lead to disappointment, because I did enjoy the clone wars cartoons.

Ghey this game will be.

Worst. art. direction. ever.

It's okay on the Star Trek reference, Ludwig. We know that the only way you are able to get information about American cinema and tv is through second-hand repetition of "stories" that are told by parrots.
And as we all know, parrots tend to be too busy asking for crackers than remembering which episode of Star Trek had the Tribbles.

Destined to be shovelware, these are.

These movies look full of fail.
Damn you LucasArts for being such a total money grubbing whore. The dialogue from the traiilers looks really half assed. Star Wars was always a massive space opera, this is just an abomination.
No comment on the actual games.
