Lennertz doesn't own the rights to the piece, but he did release a statement saying that he wishes he'd been consulted before his music was used to promote a campaign that he does not agree with. He says he respects McCain, but has "never supported his candidacy nor his agenda for this country." Lennertz concludes, "As an artist, business owner, and patriot, I proudly support Senator Barack Obama for the Presidency of the United States of America..." We've placed the campaign ad after the break.
McCain campaign ad features Medal of Honor music, composer 'dismayed'

A recent ad for John McCain's presidential campaign features music from Medal of Honor: European Assault, which GamePolitics believes may be the first time video game music has been used as such. The awkward thing here is that the composer of the piece, Christopher Lennertz, is a passionate Barack Obama supporter who is "dismayed" by the use of his composition in the ad.

Speaking for the rest of the world, we would just be happy for the ruler of the world's only not-quite-as-super-as-it-was power to be able to string a sentence together without fucking it up.

Funny as hell, yet sad. I can't believe we voted this douche in twice. THANKS FLORIDA.
Seriously if anyone here wants to witness the bottom of the barrel of human stupidity and wastes of oxygen, come visit me in Florida and I'll show you just how bad it is around here.

I can't stand McCain, mostly because when I was deciding who I would vote for all of a sudden I heard a speech of his on CNN or whatever and he said, clear as day, that he "wants to continue Bush's economic policy".
Oh you mean the one where we have $4+ for a gallon of gas and countless homes being forclosed with more and more middle class people are broke and homeless whereas the Republican's coporations just continue to rake in the record profits?
Yeah let's keep that going! Seriously, who in their right mind could vote for anyone after saying that?

hey jerkbag, here's a RADICAL idea. DON'T spend more money than you got and live WITHIN your means. That's how you stop foreclosure. I know, crazy idea, huh?

Kinda hard for people to do that when the price of everything skyrockets every year. All of a sudden people are seeing the house that they could easily afford 5 years ago be foreclosed because they can't keep up with the rising costs. Don't be such an insensitive prick. Most people aren't rich and therefore not benefiting from the republican's moneyhats and tax breaks.

He also stated in a video interview awhile he really doesn't care what "we" think. He doesn't care what we the people think. The change we need in this country is a new system. The system we have has failed and did fail a long time ago. We need change. Obama '08

Despite what you think about his politics, Mccain is a legitimate war hero, I think three years of torture in a P.O.W. camp earns him a little slack when using music from a composer of a game that makes it's profit off the historical exploits of real combat veterans like him.

He gets slack, but he's hardly a "war hero." Giving that title to someone whose major accomplishments were crashing planes and getting captured cheapens the acts of heroism by people who deserve it.

Are you actually claiming that prisoners of war are not heroes? Mccain did two years in solitary confinement, his hair turned white, he was beaten so regularly that he still cannot raise his arms above his head.
This isn't heroic? "In mid-1968, McCain's father was named commander of all U.S. forces in the Vietnam theater, and McCain was offered early release. The North Vietnamese wanted to appear merciful for propaganda purposes, and also wanted to show other POWs that elites like McCain were willing to be treated preferentially. McCain turned down the offer of repatriation; he would only accept the offer if every man taken in before him was released as well."
Because of that decision he was kept and tortured for another FIVE YEARS! I understand if you don't agree with his politics but don't crap on his military service and his bravery in standing up for american and his fellow imprisoned soldiers.

If Obama were doing this everyone would praise him for being so hip and cool. But if McCain does it then, hes just a loser republican.
