snakes revenge isn't included!!?!?!? WHAT!? I'm not downloading this INcomplete database ;-)

Sounds like it could be interesting, I wish they'd remake the originals (metal gear and metal gear 2: solid snake..no not snakes revenge, I was joking) or at least release them as PSN titles as I wasn't on the sony train last time out (PS2 generation) so I missed out on them on subsistence.

Get the essential collection, it comes with Subsistence. It would be pretty damn awesome if they remade Metal Gear and MG: Solid Snake using the MGS4 engine. But I think we would sooner see the FFVII remake.

The Essential Collection doesn't come with disc 2 of subsistence so no Metal Gear 1 & 2 =(. all because of metal gear solid 3 online bah

This may very well be the greatest DLC since the PSN first started. . . at least for a Metal Gear nut. I can't wait to get home :D

I had a brief look at it. It couldn't find my completed game save for some reason, so some stuff was blocked. Bit annoying, I wonder if its the case with all PAL versions of the game?
I will try the US database when it comes out later.

I d/l this last night. One thing I should note.

If you don't have a Japanese MGS4 save it won't allow you to view the MGS4 content.

Everything else is available to view, but it would not recognize my game clear file.

Damnit, Europeans can't even trick it with a downloaded save file. It has to be created on the same system.

Is there anyone on the entire internet who can explain why SCEE hasnt bothered to put up the (already localized) database this week when every other territory on earth is getting it today?
I got it off the Japanese store this morning but its impossible to unlock the MGS4 references...
Why does SCEE consistently let its customers down, Sonys most loyal market?
I have also given up on waiting for MGS1 to make it to the store outside of Japan, bought it of ebay today instead.
Of course Europe doesnt even deem fit to get a blog in which to raise these concerns and three speech is just a phony pointless fake PR mouthpiece who couldnt even get an answer out of a paper bag.

I'm sure it'll be on later today...the U.S. PSN has been lagging lately (for instance the BF: BC demo release was an entire day late).

I hope they eventually post Snatcher and MGS1 on the psn store...I've never played Snatcher.

Is there anyway to back up this freebie other than backing up the entire ps3 hard drive? I suppose I should stop worrying about stuff like this since the PSN automatically tracks and lets you re-download purchases (including freebies). I do feel better having a copy on disk though, it's too bad the ps3 doesn't include the functionality of writing packages to an external HD that you can burn to dvd. Then again, that introduces a whole slough of piracy issues. X_x
