The big question is WHEN?

Some of the changes seem fairly minor and just code tweaking, so it may not take too long to hit the streets.

Wishful thinking on my part actually :P

In the Press Release for The Hunt for Illidan, Upper Deck stated "All of these Loot cards will be available in Patch 2.4.3, which will follow shortly after The Hunt for Illidan’s July 1st release date". Since July 1st is a Tuesday, and that is also patch day, I'm going to say that the patch is coming out on the 1st of July. Patches are applied at around 5am PDT so it would technically "follow shortly after The Hunt For Illidan's July 1st release date".

You know, I mightve played WoW if it didnt take like 8 patches to get to the latest version thats REQUIRED to play (and each patch being 600-700mbs).

Dodged a bullet there.

I think it's something closer to 20 patches. 8 big ones, that take about 45 minutes each to download.

We can also talk about how they use bit torrent for their patcher, and try to steal my bandwidth. I can turn it off, but "That slows down my download.", because they are afraid of getting some decent dedicated patch servers.

@UltimateQ: Because having serveral million users all trying to download 300MB+ patches off of dedicated servers would be faster and more reliable then using Bit Torrents? I really don't think so. Blizzard is very smart in how they handle their patch delivery system.

Ya but having to DL all the patches at once would be something only people who had OLD copies of the game, and were reloading it, would have to do. And to those people I can only say godspeed.

TCG, TCG, some patterns, more TCG...
So they officially started to incorporate exponential game changing stuff through their pay-to-get avenue. This is still RP, but one really starts wondering how long it will be before you have to buy cards to get invited into raids or score that 1% top arena team.

you've got a pretty low threshold for humor, huh
wow's abortive attempts at humor feel to me like blizzard laughing at everyone who buys into their boring skeleton of a game

I find the construction around Stormwind to be pretty neat. I love the little things Blizz does to WoW :)

By the By, I stopped playing WoW a couple months ago due to college (I still play Diablo 2 however lol)

I might pick WoW back up when WoTLK nears
