For the final day, we tried to commit ourselves to pulling out all the stops, but a very long day of blogging left us with some epic failures that will never see the light of day (e.g. Big Bird). We do feel, however, that we have a much better understanding of Spore's limitations. (You can read about them in our gallery.) You can see all the creatures from the week starting here. A week with Spore Creatures: Conclusion
21
In our quest to familiarize ourselves with the laws of nature (and subsequently defy them), this week we're going to share at least five abominations, one each day, that we've concocted in Spore Creature Creator. You can keep track of this our progress via our various profile pages:

You can make one arm. You have to drag the 2 base nodes for the arms into each other, then the two elbow nodes, and finally the two hand nodes.
I find that sometimes the single hand likes to jump to weird angles though.

You actually were able to use it? I bought the full version, installed it, but either the game or the EA Download Manager is now preventing my computer from connecting to EA.com to activate the game. The DRM has effectively crippled my computer, and uninstalling the game and EA download manager has not fixed the issue.
This games DRM is broken and I would not recomment anyone install EA games on their computers because of it.
Definitely a 1 out of 10 for me, because I can't even get the game to start, and I'm not the only one on the Spore forums with this problem.

What I had to do:
1. Uninstall trial version fully.
2. Re-install Spore from the EA manager
If it crashes after the EA logo (like mine did) you have to go into the Sporebin folder and move the DWsomethingorother file to the desktop. I'm at work and don't remember the actual name of the file, but there aren't many files in that folder and I'm sure you will notice it.
After that, it worked fine for me.

I agree with offday. Re-creating is fun for about an hour, just to see what twisted interpretations Spore is capable of. But the real fun comes in creating something that is truly your own.

I have a serious question. I downloaded the demo to this and I like it, but I feel like I'm missing some stuff that would probably be in the full version. So my question is this: If I buy the Full version of the creator, can I buy a discounted version of Spore (only enough to bring the total cost to the full game's price) whenever it comes out?

Actually, you can have only one arm. Just have to merge each section of the arm together, it won't do it automatically. The double leg with one source thing happens sometimes too.

You CAN afford the feathers! Open up the game's ReadMe document, it tells you how to open up the cheat console and add more DNA points.
