Big Daddy is now free to roam on as many PCs as possible. According to 2K Community Manager Elizabeth (via 2K Forums), BioShock for PC can now be installed on as many computers as you want. The SecuROM protection still remains, however, and you still need to both activate the game upon installation and keep the disc in the tray.
Elizabeth does provide some assurance to those who worry about the DRM. "I believe, as you seem to, that BioShock will be the kind of game we will want to revisit 5, 10, 15 or more years from now. I want my copy to be playable, just as you do, and so does 2K," she said. We know Mr. Bubbles would be happy, and we'd hate to see him feeling otherwise.

what is so hard about about putting a game in the drive? if thats all they want you to do I don't think that warrants not buying a copy of a game. There are principles and then there is just being stubborn

you obviously are the minority. many people i know have damaged cd's due to: children, moving, sun damage, heat damage, water damage, faulty cd drives, accidental fall damage, etc, etc, etc.
Mark my words: One day you will pop in a CD and get disk read errors. Then, and only then, will you truly understand the frustration.

Nothing is hard about it the problem is natural wear and tear when I would rather keep my discs for install only so they're always in prime condition. Besides I only pirate games I'll never buy anyway, whats the use in pirating a game that is good, I can afford and deserves my support?

while I understand damage and wear n' tear on cd's, I also know that with a little responsibility your cd's stay good for years. I know what it takes to damage CD's I also know what it takes to not damage them. There will always be problems with scratched discs, but I still play my dreamcast with all the games I bought years ago. I also still watch dvd's that I bought years ago as well. My brother still uses his ps1, and I have 2 dozen friends who still play ps2 games with discs they bought over 5 years ago(my friend replayed "the bouncer" last week...I know it sucks) It's nice to not have to pop in the disc, but i think its a pretty weak excuse to ridicule a developer.

I wonder if the 360 version will ever see a Southpaw feature. Way to take care of glaring issues, 2K.

I'll play it again, but it will probably be a year or two, maybe before Bioshock 2 comes out. It doesn't seem like it would be as interesting the second time because you already know the entire story and, once you get bored with the plasmids, the shooting really isn't that much fun.
