Hardcore SRPG fans love the Disgaea franchise. PS3 owners should be happy to know that the next iteration of the franchise, Absence of Justice, is a PS3 exclusive. Even better than that, the game will launch at $50, instead of the usual $60 we see for most current generation games.
We're glad NIS America is giving us a discount on what will undoubtedly become a cult classic. It may not have the best "next gen" graphics, but at least it's not asking us to pay a "next gen" price as well. We can approve. Expect it on August 26th.
Fans should check out the official site and vote on their favorite songs from the franchise. The top choices will be included in a pre-order bonus soundtrack, making the deal even sweeter.

Because Andrew is a X3F doucebag.
But seriously, Andrew is doing a terrific job in providing us with PS3 news that includes puns.

I think the guys here at ps3fanboy are just being objective when it comes to their loyalty to the Playstation brand. I'd much rather to see some realism in their words/posts rather than blind loyalty like a bunch of lemmings. For one thing, it's the constructive criticisms that has helped bring the PS3 around.

NIS America has always been pretty faithful to its fans. I'm glad that there's still developers out there who remember that.

I still haven't been able to understand why they couldn't develop this for the PS2, or if for the PS3, give it a bit more spruce, like high res 2D sprites ala Guilty Gear.
Anyways, will the North American version have DLC like the Japanese version?

They have said in numerous interviews that they needed the increase in memory to do what they wanted with the franchise.
Their words, not mine.
Also they said it took 4 times as long to make the sprites in Disgaea 3 because of all the additional animations they added.
Besides, if they wanted to make this for PS3 and charge the same price as a PS2 game, more power to them.
