IGN introduces us to some Fable 2 NPCs

Fable 2's tale is almost ready to be told and IGN has put together a video introducing a few of the NPCs players will find in the game.

The site also speaks with Dene Carter, creative director for Fable 2, who says that the characters introduced in this video don't affect the main storyline, but interacting with them will function as "morality signposts." We're still just excited about having a dog.

I predict that Fable's dog will fall somewhere on the awesomeness level between Dead to Rights (not that awesome) and Shadow Dancer (hella awesome.)

Unless it is the one true Fables dog (AKA. Bigby Wolf,) whose awesomeness level is an 11/10.

You shouldn't have to be ashamed for saying that, as everyone knows and accepts the graphics blow on wii games.

As for the fable 2 bashing, I agree with everyone it looks pretty shitty. I'm not pleased with the "big updates" Molyneux was touting either as they don't make the game better, just more casual.

I don't think so either. Bearing in mind that I don't think that Fable was ever to be taken seriously, it still looks awkward.

I whole heartedly agree with you guys...

Reminds me of Resistance 2 to be honest. It should look awesome but somehow it just manages to look generic graphics wise.

I missed the 1st Fable but I'm very excited for the 2nd one.

I truly hope that they improve on the graphics or that what they're showing us is an older build of the game.

I am going to have to disagree with all of you guys. After playing Fable a couple weeks ago (love the game) and watching some HD trailers of Fable 2 I was very pleased with the improvement in the game's graphics engine, particularly the textures.

I think what is happening is that while the game looks much much better it still keeps it's same style and because of that the graphical improvements aren't as noticeable.

In any case the game is going to be awesome, nonetheless.

It's also not about having a dog that does next to nothing and a 1 button combat system which is even simpler than a freakin dynasty warriors game.

I kinda thought the game was supposed to have that twisted Alice in Wonderland feel to the characters, and thats why everything looks as it does. Honestly, I think we as a group are way to picky about graphics looking like photographs.

This looks bad to you people? I'll admit the animation in spots looks a little strange but the rest looks good enough to me..

Though I dont call myself hardcore, and I have never done the dew, unlike tmacairjordan87 ( you'll get that rascally wii yet tmacairjordan87, have faith).

I seriously hope you're not just going on the quality of this video, because it's compressed incredibly badly and doesnt show off the visuals at all.

Well hopefully it WILL look like those pics...however at this point I'm very skeptical about it overall.

Ultimately I'll probably still buy it because graphics are the complete package.

However for me they're a big deal and they add to my enjoyment of the game.

The game DOES look like that. Did you watch the latest gameplay video where Peter was talking about co-op play? The pic with the windmill was the setting, and it looked identical.

Compression cant hide SHITTY animation cycles, with little to no transitions. The animations are stiff and feel disconnected from the scenery. They look like they're skating along the ground...i thought we'd moved beyond this shit in gaming.

I'm getting my comment in here before it's hijacked by the usual, predictable rants about the hype surrounding Fable 1, unkind comments about Peter Molyneux and complaints about the game looking buggy. Peter Molyneux has already stated that he wants to make up for the disappointment some gamers felt about Fable 1; I found it to be a charming and beautiful game and there's not many games you can say that about. Lionhead have already said that the game's as buggy as hell and it's their priority to ensure these bugs are disposed of. Don't start judging the graphics just yet. Gamers can be a negative bunch; let's not kill this game before it gets to the shops.

I just got done playing fable 1 and I thought it was a great game. I bought it along with assassins creed and I enjoyed fable much more even though it didn't look anywhere near as pretty as assassins creed, so I wouldn't put too much into the graphics. not to mention this is a compressed video. Do you guys actually think it looks like that? Fable 1 looks better than that video

I'm not as disappointed with the graphics as I am the over all design of the people and the environments. They look very generic and uninspired. As for the 19th century cockney accents, they sound like extras in a Disney film.
