Readers pick best webcomic: On Perspective

Some say they were picked by merit of being Penny Arcade. Still, we think this strip was rather poignant and quite deserving in its own right of this week's Webcomic Wrapup. We'd love to present a trophy, but we're not so good in the art department and Gabe doesn't return our emails. Maybe we have to beat him at WoW TCG to get his attention.

Second and third place go to 2P Start and CAD, respectively. Thanks to everyone who voted, and be sure to let us know of any gaming comics you stumble upon this week! Well, actually ... since we have to get back on schedule, you've only got about 20 hours to get our attention.

you're missing a coma on the second post. EPIC FAIL!

i loved the nes, but i don't expect games that look like that to be developed these days. I certainly won't vote for any comic that greyscales their work just to hide the fact that they've drawn very little this week.

I mean, 2 numbers and a talking circle? Even if they have something witty to say, that's a very lazy way of saying it.

As for the comma mistake, i hold my hands up to that one and await a very punctual (har har!) punishment!

Jesus Christ you sad loser, how the fuck else are they gonna do points and commas, with muscle detail and everything? And the greyscale is the style of it, if you think grey automatically means "low quality" then please do get an education.

Well see, the thing is they are characters. They got frustrated a while back at younger players typing all caps or without punctuation, and so they made a comic about it. (made to look like an old black and white educational film)

err, apology accepted? And don't worry, i forgive you too for completely overreacting just because i voiced (and qualified) my opinion. If you think that was a fair and reasonable way to make your view heard, then please do get an education.

Penny Arcade is always bitching about the PS3. I still remember one of their columns on UT3 filled with bullshit. And yeah their game sucks as well.

This comic wasn't bitching about the PS3, it was bitching about dumb PS3 fanboys.

It's not a stab at PS3 in any way shape or form.. it's a stab at people who get in a hissy fit when a review doesn't match their own opinion of a game...

Basically the comic is mainly making fun of people who get all pissed off simply because game reviewers gave their precious game an 8.8(I'm looking at you nintendo fanboys).

This comic has absolutely nothing to do with PS3 and everything to do with Fanboys' blind love for their franchise of choice.

i rember that UT3 rant. tyco bitched about having the 20gig having no card slots and not being able to try the mods. he could of used a thumb drive or a usb card reader but he complained about sony and epic for not thinking of the 20gig when its easily upgradeable for cheap. its okay to have bias. they admit they have them and even go so far as to admit to be assholes at times. i go there for the comic not game advice. taste very and i'm not one of their people as they like to put it.

I enjoy gametrailer's but their reviews are definitely biased when it comes to PS3 games. Ever see them review a PS3 version of a game that was released on both the platforms? Never. Well other than the incredibly misleading 360/PS3 comparison videos which are incredibly subjective.

lol what? So you're saying because they don't review a version of a game that is multiplatform(since they're both technically the same) and because of one little mistake that happened you're automatically goiing to call them bias?

riiiight. That makes so much sense.

It's not necessarily a question of which one they want to review. Often publishers will only send one copy of a game to review media and it's likely it just happens to be the 360 most of the time. If GT got a copy of a PS3 game, they have a damn obligation to review it, they're not going to go "Oh, we don't feel like it."

Sheesh.

Frankly, i love PA, but their humor has waned in the last year or so, but this comic was definitely one of their better ones.

Unhorse was one of their funniest ever.
