NATO_Duke @ Jun 20th 2008 6:23PM
Bro? Scary.
Shagittarius @ Jun 20th 2008 3:35PM
Too bad the new Weezer album is absolute shit.
I feel bad that Rivers was so hurt at the reception to Pinkerton that every weezer album is now made as a musical fuck you to all the bands ex-fans.
P.S.
HEY!
McWeen @ Jun 20th 2008 3:37PM
Sorry a bug crawled up your ass and died. The newer Weezer may not be the emo masterpiece that was Pinkerton but they are not "absolute shit"

if you go i will surely die...
deaftly @ Jun 20th 2008 3:52PM
Yes, its absolute shit. Blue album still owns though.
Neebs @ Jun 20th 2008 4:43PM
...I like Red.
NoHitHair @ Jun 20th 2008 4:54PM
Weezer ONLY made two albums: Blue and Pinkerton.
Everything else is insipid produced bullshit.
NoHitHair @ Jun 20th 2008 4:56PM
Weezer ONLY made two albums: Blue and Pinkerton.
Everything else is insipid unfeeling overproduced garbage.

Still needs more Pink Floyd, I'm going crazy here!
ill trooper @ Jun 20th 2008 7:42PM
Oh wow. I don't think the new album is great, and it's a bit short, but there are some good songs on there and 'Greatest Man That Ever Lived" is one of them. "Troublemaker" is fine as well. Sometimes that's just the way it is, a band evolves and it's not what we all wanted but I'm not mad. "Hashpipe" sounded lame to me when I first heard it but I'd love to play it in RockBand.
...And as to wondering how old those of us who aren't loathing the new 'red' album; I'm old.
Lewis (GT: StoneRevolver) @ Jun 20th 2008 5:34PM
Your stupid if you don't like the Red Album. It's a masterpiece, best work Rivers did since Pinkerton.
ApolloIV @ Jun 20th 2008 6:42PM
Truer words have never been spoken. I was so excited when I heard Weezer was doing a new album hoping it would be on par with the Blue Album but no. This feels like a big kick in the ass to all the fans.
ryan @ Jun 20th 2008 7:07PM
this album really is bad and wow "the greatest man that ever lived" has got to be the worst lyrics ever written in a song and that even takes into consideration some rap songs. Having said that, these songs might be fun to sing vocally because of the diversity of rhythm and pitch.
Raikage (LDF CRAB BATTLE!!!) @ Jun 21st 2008 12:30AM
Red is a mix of Blue and Pink, if you don't like it... your no fan of =w=, it is a masterpiece.
Travis @ Jun 21st 2008 6:16AM
yes...they are now "absolute shit"
he uses 'Underwear' in rhymes on this album constantly......
gimme some Matt Sharp era Weezer any day...not this goofball pop puke
muddyhelmit @ Jun 20th 2008 3:35PM
Keep Weezer coming!
Amoveo @ Jun 24th 2008 12:00AM
More Pinkerton. Now.

14 tracks for $19 is pretty good, I hope that one day a full CD comes out that I want. Maybe one day they will have a method where you will buy the CD for the game and receive a digital download of it as well. That would be music gaming heaven.

I'm upset by the lack of Pork and Beans, but otherwise, it's all good.
boulderhorn @ Jun 20th 2008 3:42PM
where is the song "where is my mind" Perhaps one of my favorites...
NATO_Duke @ Jun 20th 2008 3:55PM
On the album Surfer Rosa. This is songs from DooLittle.

I'm so upset that I had to reiterate. For realz, this was intentional, not a double post.

AceMilo @ Jun 20th 2008 11:26PM
I learned how to play Pork and Beans and its really, really easy so it would be boring as hell in rockband. It's only 4 chords and the beginning melody, so it would be crazy easy and no fun.
Matthew @ Jun 20th 2008 3:44PM
ohman ohman, I saw the headline on this article and immediately saw weezer. I was/am soooo stoked for a 'Only In Dreams' rock band track.
It's long, but the track I can really compare it to is 'Green Grass And High Tides' on rock band. Long song, not too much vocal, but a really really great instrument song. Soooo wanting that one.
ApolloIV @ Jun 20th 2008 6:51PM
Sorry bro, It's not "only in Dreams." Dreamin is a big pile of...well let's say it is NO WHERE near as good as "Only In Dreams."
Frojo @ Jun 20th 2008 3:45PM
Might have to hit up that weezer. I have a cover of Mr.Grieves that i really enjoy so i may buy that too. Yeay pixies.
Fernando Rocker @ Jun 20th 2008 3:46PM
Oh... realz rockz...
PojoMofo @ Jun 20th 2008 3:50PM
Fernando, doesnt there come a point when you play so many Ubisoft DS games that you end every word with a "z"?
Cesaria (www.cesariatic.wordpress.com) @ Jun 20th 2008 4:05PM
I hope you're being serious, fernando, because Doolittle is one of the greatest albums of all time. youtube 'gouge away,' 'tame,' or 'here comes your man.' or any other track from this masterpiece.
ApolloIV @ Jun 20th 2008 6:47PM
Fernando, you should stick to trolling PS3 fanboys. I'm surprised though. For once everyone on Joystiq likes a band. And by God they picked a damn good band.
Bayli @ Jun 20th 2008 3:49PM
Why lack of Pork & Beans? ;-;
Goooodddd Red album is so much better than Make Believe.
Moar Weezer plox.
MV @ Jun 20th 2008 3:49PM
Why is 'Wave of Mutilation' missing from Doolittle?
Shagittarius @ Jun 20th 2008 3:56PM
Weird!
I hope the next DLC is a tripple pack featuring;Black Hole Sun, Mississip Queen, and Roxanne.
MarkHawk @ Jun 20th 2008 3:58PM
seriously? Anyways it's already in the game.
That title launched with the game.
El-Connro @ Jun 20th 2008 3:59PM
It's already on the disc in the game, so it isn't part of the full-album DLC.
baef @ Jun 20th 2008 4:00PM
Its already in Rock Band, no need to have a download for it.
Desert Eagle @ Jun 20th 2008 4:01PM
Hmmm... I don't know. Maybe because it's already in Rock Band? ;)
Neebs @ Jun 20th 2008 4:10PM
Just because no one has said it yet, it's already in the game.
Mrak @ Jun 20th 2008 3:54PM
This is fucking incredible. The greatest man that ever lived is constantly on loop in my head these days. Epic, epic win.
ScottG13 @ Jun 20th 2008 3:56PM
Troublemaker is a particularly fun jam. Looking forward to playing these.
Neebs @ Jun 20th 2008 4:02PM
Holy McFuck! WEEZER!
Cesaria (www.cesariatic.wordpress.com) @ Jun 20th 2008 4:07PM
Three of the best tracks from Red Album AND fucking Doolittle! Too bad I don't have Rock Band. :( Looks like I'll have to buy them for my friend's game. Yeah, I want to play them THAT much!
p.s. "Greatest Man That Ever Lived"= best Weezer song since anything from Pinkerton. :P
MasterCKO @ Jun 20th 2008 4:07PM
by far the best week for DLC up until now. I wish that it had Pork and Beans to make it perfect, but oh well. I can't wait till next Thursday. *prepares credit card*
