Video: Experience the excitement of crabbing
17
Seeing that lately everyone has been backlogged with great game playing we're sure the Xbox 360 exclusive Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm has gone a bit under the radar. It released a few weeks back and we'll admit, we haven't paid much attention to it. But that's where gameplay trailers come in and the latest Alaskan Storm "Crabbing Gameplay" trailer fulfills all our crab fishing curiosities. You owe it to yourself to watch how intense, how enthralling and how truly marveling the gameplay is between the 0:30 through 1:10 mark. Damn seagulls, stay away from our boat!

Wow, barf. Game might be playable if you can just hook up your guitar and Rock Band out the theme song in the background

I know sir, that's the joke. That the only good part of the video was that it reminded me of playin Jovi on my plastic guitar in RB

Doesn't seem like a horrible game. Not exactly filled to the brim with action, or even decent thrills at that. But comparing it to other fishing titles... it's just another fishing game. Except now you're on a crab boat.
The water looks good(want to see some vids of gameplay in storms), the boat and graphics look good. Game play seems potentially linear. And the fact that this game is based off a popular Discovery channel television show is wreaking of devs trying to cash in, and hope likeness will spur some dollars.
I would even take a stab at saying that actually bass fishing games could potentially be more complicated than this. The small details, dis/advantages, experience that go into fishing for bass adds to a more complex, more detail oriented game.

Hmmm that could be the one game that could make any girl run screaming away from a guy. In my mind the conversation would go as such.
Girl: What did you do last night.
Guy: I played video games and caught crabs.
Girl:

Yeah the game just came out, not a few weeks ago. I got it on gamefly, it's ok, I'll be returning it already though after having it for 2 days. Really boring/slow doing all the pots, real chippy graphics with bad frame rate. It tells you to watch out for glaciers and what not, yet I tried going full Speed and running into one, which did absolutely nothing. I also ran into the other guy's boats and it does absolutely nothing. Oh well, I had decent hopes for it, but I'll pass.

The game will probably suck but I'll buy it anyways. Seriously, I encourage you guys to catch the show though, strangely addictive and watching it makes me feel like a total wuss.
