Err. No, the wisp doesn't attack enemies. According to the official website, the game's "attack cycle" works this way:

WISP commands ALLIES to attack ENEMIES who attack the WISP.
Whereas ENEMIES can't attack ALLIES who serve the WISP that can't do anything to (except run away from) ENEMIES.

Sorry if the caps sounded offending, just wanted to make the point clear...

Interestingly, among the 7 jobs in the allies, only the Duelist and Lance Knights can move; the others (Warrior, Hermit, Archer, Priestess and Wizard) can't.

Directions also play an important part. Duelist and Warriors can attack nearby and left directions, Lance Knights all 4 directions and the others front and right.

As though the game isn't confusing enough... But I'll still try it when it comes out.
