Actually, I did too. But the most common complaint was that it was an overpriced expansion pack (guilty as charged). They wanted $40 for 30 songs. This, they want $60 for 41 songs and a large bulk of them suck.

Agreed.

Note to Harmonix: Rock Band has a distinct lack of power ballads.

Power Ballads are only fun for a couple people out of the band. That's the problem inherent to them. For example, in many power ballads, the drummers job only goes as far as to help the elaborate guitar keep timing. And Bass is practically nonexistant.

There IS a lack of them, but I don't see how they're fun for the whole group. Remember, what makes a good song doesn't always make a good Rock Band track and likewise a good Rock Band track doesn't always make a good song. Like CrushCrushCrush is a fucking awful song on many levels. But it's fun to play.

Sure, but the same could be said for quite a few songs already in there. Pretty much every song in the first 2 or 3 tiers is boring for at least one instrument.

And I'll be damned if I'm denied singing some Meat Loaf because it's not fun for the other three people!

Do not want.

Even if I liked Aerosmith, I think I'd pass.

Meh, I love GH2 and Rock Band. I enjoyed GH3 but the battles just get old. There is nothing in this that inspires me to buy it. STP and a few others would be nice, but I'm just not a big enough Aerosmith fan (or the other stuff) to care enough to spend $60 or whatever it costs.

If Don't Wanna Miss a Thing is on WT, they better put something else fucking amazing on it to make up for it. Not even Everlong is good enough to make up for that.

As nice as the song is, the band hates it, and I think it doesn't work well with rock instruments. and rock band doesn't have a violin.

Never has the term "Meh..." been so appropriate. I just don't want this, and I think that the price is probably the main reason.

RUN D.M.C. and The Cult had me interested but the lack of doing anything but guitar and a chunk of the songs already being available on Rock Band makes this a PASS.

Aerosmith was one of my favorite bands and I really enjoy a lot of their music. But I can't see paying for this game when so much of it is missing. There are some good songs on there but I couldn't justify the cost. Besides, I am too busy spending my money on Rockband DLC. I would much rather have DLC and choose what I want than deal with multiple discs and versions swapping between each just to play a song I like. This is why I do not and will not purchase any GH3 DLC despite owning the game. I made that mistake with the little bit of content we got with GH2. I'm afraid they aren't getting any more of my money. Besides, there needs to be value in something to purchase it. Comparing RB to GH, I get much more from RB for less $$$. I will be renting this game from Gamefly but that is all. No purchase for me.

It's funny that the song I anticipate most is Sex Type Thing...something by another band that's already available on Rock Band.

Oh well.

Why did they included Walk this way 2 times?

Well I'm disappointed since most of the good stuff is missing. I ignore if these and more Aerosmith songs are available on GH3,4 or Rockband since I didn't bought them.

I’m looking forward to GH:A more than GH:4.

Because one version is with Run DMC, the other is the solo Aerosmith version. A little reading goes a long way.
"Walk This Way" by Run-D.M.C. featuring Aerosmith

I don't have Rock Band because I can't convince myself to buy either a PS3 or 360. I'm an Aerosmith from start to the first ballad on Get a Grip. I noticed some of these are re-recorded. Should that means what I think, it could be interesting to hear. Personally, and I was the only one on Dtoid to say this-

Ill be buying.

You should get one of the new consoles, they are all much nicer than last gen's. Take a leap of faith on one.

I'm excited about She Sells Sanctuary. Mostly because I hope this means it will also be released for Rock Band, as I'm not going to buy this game at full price. Maybe when/if it's $30 or less, or I'll finally break down and get a Gamefly subscription.

She sells sanctuary and King of Rock will make me Gamefly it. I am not the hugest of Aerosmith fans, but they definitely left out some of their better songs for some crap.

I too hope this tanks, as it is just Aerosmith trying to make some extra dollars, which will unfortuanetly work.

Really, The Clash song Complete Control influenced Aerosmith? I mean really, it's the perfect song for this, because, you know, it's about not selling out and not letting the record companies control you... not the total opposite of what this whole Aerosmith/Activision deal stands for. Ahh, if only Joe Strummer were still alive. I mean as Rock Band DLC, it's ok, but on something like this, eww.

Aerosmith is possibly THE most overrated band in the history of rock... The Beatles are up there as well.

I am also still totally unconvinced that "Dream On" is actually an Aerosmith song as the singer sounds nothing like any other Steven Tyler song ever made. Anyone else ever notice this?

There are only two songs on this entire list that whet my appetite at all Ted Nugent and STP.

personally to me the GH franchise tanked after GH2, rock band for me from here on out. aerosmith is great and all and the songs on rockband by them have some great solos to play, but i cant justify paying for this game especially if it follows the difficulty curve from GH3...i could play expert on GH2, yet on GH3 i cant beat hard...seriously? what kind of curve is that? it went from being a fun challenge to omgwtf rediculous.

Wow. That's some seriously underwhelming trackage, with some extremely weak stuff from non-Aerosmith bands that doesn't really fit well with the rest of the music. I love the Cult, but the song they picked song does not work in the context of this game.

I might borrow it from a friend whose Aerosmith-crazed spouse forces him to buy it. Myself, I'd not pay even to rent it.

Oh man, it has the Nuge in it. My first chance of the Motor City Madman in a game and it's Revolution X 2. Luckily, I enjoy some Aerosmith, so when I inevitably pick this up when it's 25 bucks at Gamestop, I won't feel bad about it.

"Dream On" was on the first album Aerosmith recorded in 1973. Steven Tyler doesn't sound like himself on any of the tracks, because he thought he had to make himself sound "better" than his natural singing voice.

Some of you people are totally retarded. Aerosmith is one of the best (if not the best) bands of all time! The problem I have with this piece of crap is that its missing the best songs such as Crazy, Cryin, What it takes, Angel, Hole in My Soul and whatever that other song was from Nine Lives. What was the deal with all the NON-aerosmith songs??? I bought it to play Aerosmith songs not a bunch of crap songs I've never heard of before. BOOO!
