I don't really get all of the hate for CoD3. I thought it was a lot of fun. I'd say at least as much as the first two.

This sounds good and anyone who says otherwise is lying to uphold anti-Treyarch propaganda. I never played CoD3 and I don't give a shit how bad it was.

anyone who says COD4 was a let down has broken logic, and deserve to play another WWII game. This game has been done before, every WWII campaign has been done before(by other games).

COD3 sucked, Spiderman 3 was the worse game I ever played. Treyarch are just not Infinity Ward. And this shows in everything they do. Take the excellent COD4 engine and make a predictable WWII game....FAIL!

They've got to know they need a demo (or "beta") for this to work.

I'm willing to give it a shot, but I'd love a demo/beta even more so I can be sure.

As fun as flamethrowers are, I wonder if they're going to keep THOSE realistic as well (Note: A real flamethrower, backpack style, only had enough fuel for a few seconds of flame)

On one hand, I'm excited to try what is essentially a WWII mod for Call of Duty 4.

On the other hand, I myself am a self-professed WWII nerd, complete with libraries of books on the Luftwaffe and Market Garden and such, and even I'M tired of this shit.

Honestly, when I saw the brief rumor-mongering going around that COD5 might be a futuristic sci-fi game, I got a little excited. At least there you can blaze a new trail, you know? Maybe take the BF2142 path and describe and set forth a story about a bigass war on Earth, or wars over Mars colonies or something. The potential is mind-blowing.
