We've gotten into the bad habit of using the word "convoluted" every single time we write something about Metal Gear Solid 4, so we've gone ahead and opened up the thesaurus for this one. According to MCV, the Metal Gear Solid 4 Database, an interactive encyclopedia meant to guide players through Hideo Kojima's byzantine saga, will become available on the European PSN this Thursday, June 26th. It's filled with facts, it's free and it'll check your MGS4 progress before spoiling the part where Meryl is eaten alive by robot marmosets (from the future).
So, what did you think of "byzantine?" Personally, we think that sounds too much like one of those effervescent energy pills. How about "labyrinthine?" "Daedalian?" There's also "knotty." These thesaurus things are quite convoluted, you know.

I went through the entire database last Thursday(nothing worth watching on tv at the time)... but it was pretty informative stuff, actually. It's nice lexicon of MG lore that I personally wouldn't mind seeing a second volume dedicated to the non-canon stuff.
Admittedly, a couple entries did throw me off for a moment because they were retconned from previous details or "the line" of reality vs METAL GEAR-fiction was pretty hazy.

my copy finally arrived last friday and after the install it took 2 min to find the settings to change the weapon inventory, ivert the axis, and add subtitles. i heard people complain about having to pause, but you can switch it to cycle weapons. i want to know if the database marks what you open up in game. i quit from it without saving and was still at 3%, then i went back in later just to check and saved. it was up to 11%.
