I hope so. The beta had barely any lag, and that was really fun. Also, the single player is pretty fun as well. The only thing I do not like is how you can not communicate with your teammates, unless you're in the same squad, which only has a max of 4 people :/

After I beat NG2 I'm probably going to trade it in for B:BC. I really enjoyed the Demo and I'm kinda burnt out on COD4. It's actually getting good reviews in with no major concerns.

Fenix:
Why would you trade in NG2 ? you can replay it, later on different difficulties.

I have played through it twice and its still fun. Oh well, I guess its just me then.

Lag?

Been playing ti religiously on the PS3 version, no lag at all.

Played the 360 version a couple times at a friend's house, no lag at all either.

Oh, and when did this "in before..." shit replace the need to formulate/convey any *actual* personal opinions about something?

It needs to join "meh," "FTW," and "butthurt" on the list of terms to be banned from the internet in 08.

I have very specific opinions about PC gamers, you have very specific opinions about console gamers...therefore we will have to agree to disagree (regardless of how good/bad Supreme Commander is on the 360.)

Umm...mind TF2, I'm not a PC gamer.In fact I usually spend a lot more time on my 360.

And my definition of Console Tard isn't directed at console users overall. That'd make me a console tard too.Console Tards are those obnoxious shits on XBL and those causal gamers who fuel the profits of EA Sport Series by buying the same fucking game every year.

Jakka ---
Through the jarring insults, it seems like you're either limited in sports knowledge and/or perhaps incapable of playing them at a competitive level; so I'll try to keep this free of sports-jargon.

It never ceases to amaze me how gamers love to take potshot insults at not just EA Sports, but seemingly all yearly-updated sports games. Sure, you can be rightfully upset... no arguments against human choice & opinions. However, outside of the NFL license monopoly, I really have trouble fathoming what's got so many gamers agitated. So I listed a couple overheard/read quips and tried to answer them.

1] "I don't like the resale value"
I'll start by saying 'everything has depreciation value'. Especially videogames, and moreso to those that are updated or "chronicled" on an annual basis. Unless there's some ridiculous reason or add-on (in)tangible item with it, nearly all games automatically lose $15-20 in value the moment you buy it. Sports gamers generate substantial amounts to VG profits as a whole compared to any other genre out there. Knowing that, numerous copies of last year's game are almost always returned either for the newer game or store credit. Thus, the value is less because of the quantity.

2]"They barely update anything year-to-year"
In a FPS game, all sorts of wacky guns could be added. In a RPG, new monsters, quests, and spells could be added. For sports games, there's only so much that could be done outside of actually playing the sport itself. Unless it's MUTANT LEAGUE(which needs to return, damnit); most sports games can't edit or update too much without it becoming whimsical and ridiculously bad(like MADDEN'05). But that's still no excuse to the developer to slack off with updating a sports game(beyond team & player stats)every year. I personally like the NHL series(both EA and 2KSports)for that reason alone, because due to their competitive nature for "who's the better hockey title". Due to that NFL/NFLPA license monopoly MADDEN has, the competition to make a better title isn't there and gameplay updates & tweaks are minimal.

3] "Why don't they just release one game every 5 years and offer DLC updates in between?"
Considering WORLD OF WARCRAFT has been out for four years this November and did that(even bearing in mind the graphical quality), it's easy to come up with a solution like this. Though DLC is quickly becoming a popular option, it's not enough to outweigh the profits made from a tangible disc release.

As a gamer who enjoys everything that supposedly makes Dynasty Warrior games bad, I agree completely with Foxhound.

As a gamer who sees The Sims expansions topping the charts month after month on the PC side of things, I point at Jakka and say, "How DARE YOU, sir!" When your system of choice is creaming their tighty-whities because now their gibberish drooling bastard children can move out of the house and into and apartment, PC gamers as a whole have NO FUCKING ROOM to whip out a term like consoletard.

Nah, I thinking it's a cleaner border to be certain. But I tend to dislike Green as a design element. Of course all this can and probably will change as Sony finally brings Greatest Hits stateside (The Best and Platinum Games lines are already in effect in Europe and Japan). Playstation had ugly green, PS2 had ugly red, I fear what PS3's will be like.

Of course I also hate Silver and Yellow borders as well.

Oh it's WORSE than that, samfish. Platinum Games in UK tend to have bright yellow packaging with the original box art inset like it's a picture frame. It's like these companies ACTIVELY seek to embarass the hell out of people who buy the Greatest Hits line.

I haven't encountered any lag so far ( ps3 version ), Is the game hosted by individuals PS3 so it's all down to their download/upload speeds ? or is it central?

Whatever, great game IMHO so I'll be picking it up on release day :)

Did their review happen to mention any noticible good/bad points? Or is it just mediocre all the way around(with voice acting from the movie actors)?

I know it's bad that I'm keeping expectations low... but it IS a licensed videogame, and those don't usually fare well. Couple in the fact that it's based more on the movie than the comic, and that heighted my worry of it being "Hollywood Shovelware".

You guys really need to give more worldwide coverage in this feature. The biggest game of the week in Europe is clearly Super Smash Bros Brawl but is there a mention of that here? nooo.

I think you may need to be more realistic about what games people want to talk about.

SSBB Release dates:
Japan: January 30, 2008
US: March 9, 2008
Europe: June 27, 2008
Australia: June 26, 2008

So, the game has been out for a total of 6 months now in other parts of the world, and has been talked about endlessly by many sites. So, why would it become a big topic all over again when there is nothing new to say other than its coming out in Europe now? There are new games, previously unreleased, that make better discussion topics.

This game has a lot to prove, any game that can openly take the piss out of MGS, Gears and Rainbow six must be a superb game in itself, but if this game fails, the joke will be on EA.

No longer will we be laughing at thier cheezy vids, but at them.

My wife and I bought a copy each yesterday. We opened one, played it, took the other back.

The tracklisting is incredibly weak, and anyone with normal hands is going to get severe RSI. It's fun, but not 9/10 fun.

Companies are still releasing games after Metal Gear Solid 4? Besides the single player campaign being awesome and totally replayable, I have become absolutely addicted to Metal Gear Online. Its limited features are about 100 times better than most 'full-fledged' multiplayer games out there today. I just hope a lot of people who bought MGS4 didn't/don't skip MGO, as it really is the icing on the cake.
