This looks like a great music game. Huge song list, all master tracks, DLC, song creator, not gimped, and tons of more features.
I didn't buy GH III because of the mono issues and lack of DLC, but this may very well warrant a purchase.

See EA and Harmonix, THIS is how RB should have been. All your lame ass excuses are made null and void when GH4 comes and has everything there.

Are you kidding? The guitar looks like the same kinda crap they've been churning out already. The RB Strat isn't perfect, but it's a step in the right direction at least.

The drums are worse... I like the idea of adding a drum and the raised cymbals are nice, but the pedal is going to going to screw the whole thing up by not being attached to anything, and just render it unusable. And again, no hi-hat pedal still = fail.

Plus Harmonix gets bonus points for doing the actual innovation (including creating Guitar Hero). It's easy to take an existing product and just tweak it a tad... but thinking of a new thing and taking the initial risk is the hard part.

I've played on almost all the guitar hero guitars, and the rock band guitar, and I have to say that the Wii Les Paul is by far my favorite. I hated the Rock Band guitar. It felt like it was made out of nerf.

Also, Harmonix wasn't taking any risk. MTV games was.

But I'm not really interested in innovation. I could care less who came up with the idea first. I'm more interested in who does a better job. At this point, I trust Activision more. Which is sad considering the whole audio fiasco.

"Rock Band one-upped the Guitar Hero franchise by adding drums and a microphone, so what's next?"

Well at least on the Wii, GH responded by *not* cutting out online play or DLC, and by adding a song creator. Now I'm torn. GH3 was a mediocre game, and didn't hold a candle to the first two games in the series (or to Rock Band), but Rock Band on the Wii is a friggin' joke.
