"Sent to die," are the words we just can't seem to get out of our heads for this one. Why, oh why, would MS want this on XBLA? Unless it costs something in the neighborhood of 200pts, we envision it getting delisted at the first possible opportunity.

Honestly looks like someone shot that in the corner of their office and put a green color correction on it.... Spare no expense!

Disappointing. I expected a game called Double D Dodgeball to throw down the gauntlet to Itagaki, the reigning Master of Boob Physics. It's a shame Yuke's passed up such a golden opportunity.

I'm not understanding what's necessarily so terrible about this game. Other things I've seen from it seemed somewhat interesting to me. It's certainly not beautiful, but that's another story.
The game allows for Eastern dodgeball rules (meaning that characters hit out run along the edge and can still hit the opposing team), so it should at least be hectic. Plus 12 players online.
Personally I couldn't care less about Pirates vs Ninjas since every video of it makes it look full of confusing camera angles.
To each their own, I guess.

So... Just to be clear, there will not be any forms of admiring the female body for this release? Because that video is either the best teaser trailer of all time, or the absolute worst.
Screw it. I'm getting my hopes up for this, but instead of Double D, I'll imagine it's called... Leisure Suit Larry's Dodgeball Invitational '08.

Correct me if I am wrong... but this is a new game, not a port or anything... right?
Why does it look like it wouldn't stress out the NES graphically? I mean, I don't mind 2d at all, but this is absurdly bad... so bad I wonder why they bothered with "art" at all... wouldn't some ASCII characters have done just as poor a job?

Last year, I came up with the perfect concept for a dodgeball game. My game took the aspects of war and the playground sport of dodgeball and combined them, thus making something truly fantastic.
My game envolved unique characters with glimmering personalities, gameplay that was strategic as well as fast paced, and environments that were out of this world.
Now, it seems that every developer and designer wants to cash in on what I revived. I wish these companies no success. I hope that all of their attempts flop until they're forced to realize that one dodge ball game has the right formula for success.
