Ed Boon clarifies Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe fatalities

Of course, don't expect the levels of violence and depravity to be quite up there (down there?) with previous Mortal Kombat games, as Ed Boon mentions that this Unreal-powered showdown is still pushing a slightly Tamer boundary. "Certain animations, blood effects, and sound effects that we have in the game are really pushing the T-rating envelope," he said. We're sure gore hounds will find this worthy of debate, but we're more concerned about everything that happens before the fatality.
Let's hope E3 grants us the opportunity to beat the snot out of that smug Superman.

I can't say I'm that excited about this project. That said, my friends and I really enjoyed Marvel Nemesis as a fun drinking game. Which made the loss of "UNTITLED MARVEL FIGHTING GAME" by EA a conundrum. Either look forward to another mediocre game, or rejoice under the hypothetical notion that Capcom could make a new MVC title.

Actually, it is more brutal. That's why they call it a brutality as opposed to a fatality, which, as it happens, is more fatal.

Another series that was much better in 2D, they should pull a SF4 on the next version. Hopefully MK vs The Care Bears.

wait you want to beat the snot out of superman... he is the friggin man of steel... what is all the fatalities against him going to be some mortal combat frek pulling out some kryptonite on him????? i mean sure the only thing he is weak against in a fight is friggin magic so unless all the characters have magic spouting out their butts its an unfair fight.. scorpions little get over here trick would just bounce off his chest.. sighhhhh im a skeptic on this one... how about they just replace him with Kratos!!!

Superman is a dick anyways. All the other heroes / villains have specific powers or abilities. Superman has everything (speed, flight, strength, etc) and he's practically invincible. It's almost like cheating and, in my opinion, makes for a very boring character.

What the hell's the point? Superman is just god, unless every character has kryptonite. This is going to suck, because Superman's gonna be absolutely horrible and not superman at all.
