You've been 4-warned. Valve's PC and Xbox 360 zombie apocalypse sim, Left 4 Dead, will be overturning store shelves in a frantic search for essential supplies on November 4th. We highly recommend that you and three of your best friends shoot through the throbbing, mindless masses of a dilapidated modern society, if only so you can get home quicker and load up the game.
Be sure to read our hands-on impressions before you brave the undead hordes. And for heaven's sake, never go back for the dog. That's just stupid.

/agreed - Dead Rising was -great- but really left me wanting for a game I actually felt there was a struggle to survive against the onslaught.

Just buy the steam version already. It's only $20 and it'll be the most fun you'll ever have with your PC.
The quality gap between 16 > 24 is just amazing.
btw, do you REALLY want the achievements? Right now the game is unplayable because there are six pyro's on each team.

the issue with the achievements is that valve doled out its 1000pts for them already. Then again valve may be fighting to get the content released free, or maybe they just want to wait for all of the stuff to be done.
Who knows, speculation abounds.

I'm surprised they didn't push it out to April 4th just to keep up with the 4 theme.

My only wish is that valve reduces the speed of everything to normal human-like speeds. Why does every Valve...hell every PC shooter have to run super fast? Like I said on the 1up boards that's not survival horror, it's just another twitch shooter.
I'll wait and see, but right now it's on my Pass list.

It was a pretty decent port by EA. Have you even played it or are you just repeating some bullshit certain sites are always spreading.

I played the Orange Box on the PS3. The graphics were not sharp, everything looked low-rez. Also, TF2 didn't work at all. I was never able to join a game.
