I loved the first Metal Gear, I hated the self indulgent sequel, I am sure the series is better now.
But I rather play my games than watch them.
And that is just my personal opinion.

GoW storyline is pretty cool but when it comes to do it I just watch the cutscenes because they're badass.

Still though that and Final Fantasy XIII make a lovely pair of games that the ps3 will have.

Lol, I actually love God Hand, the combat system was one of the best I have ever seen

But as far as story goes, although I loved all the jokes (they were funny as hell, my ringtone is the credits song...), it lacked depth....

It was about as deep as a kiddie pool, but I still love it. Serves as a prime example why you've got to read more than 1 review.

In fairness, God Hand's story wasn't really meant to be taken seriously and was supposedly more of a parody.
I found it funny, though, which was good enough for me, despite the cliché plot.

I liked the GOW story... actually. I brought back Ancient Greek mythology with an appropriate level of brutality. Thing I loved about it was how unapologetically violent it was and I still consider Kratos's walk of shame in GOW II one of the more powerful moments in gaming.

I mean I won't say it's the best storyline in games right now (although admittedly that's a pretty low set bar), but it's certainly in the top teir. Especially within it's specific genre who's main competitors are Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden. I do think they essentially wrote themselves into a corner with GOW II though.

To be honest DMC,NG and God of war stories just give you an excuse to mindlessly kill hordes of enemies except that those games make it fun and don’t fail like other games try to pull out the same and I’m looking at you Mr. Kingdom under fire.

So far I played the PSP version which was short but dude it was incredibly well done game the only defect was that it is too short.

Oh yeah about the story well as hard as they try to put Spartans as manly men you can’t ignore the historical point of view that they were in fact a bunch of ghey pedos but if you ignore all that is actually good but I wouldn’t say the best.

The GOW plot is great, but I wouldn't call it epic, compared to most games it is lightyears in front, but really its nothing that special, and its nothing that nobody else could have thought of.

Man blames himself because he stupidly killed his family, asks gods to rid him of his memories, gods for some apparent reason use him like a slave, takes revenge on Zeus who for some obscure reason has become corrupted >_<

Its got nothing on lets say Lord of the rings for example, or ff7, but damn, this game could make for a movie darn well close to lord of the rings if done properly.

To be honest I would say like or better than 300 if done right but I wouldn’t push it more than that. Remember you have to make it for all audiences especially if there is a huge investment on it unless you want it to flop, that means not naked women and lower the tone of gore and blood.
