When I was a noob at COD4 and I sniped easily 10 people in a row without dieing, and I was the least experienced player on the map. It really built my self-esteem
my best experience would have to be playing team fortress 2 playing as an engineer protecting a cap point and scouts. Come running and my sentrey gun blast them into the air causeing then to fall to the ground dying instantly that would have to be my best to date
My best online moment is a personal one actually. I was born with a brittle bone disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta and due to this my bones break quite often leaving me in the hospital for months at a time. Due to my disability I'm unable to work and due to the danger of leaving I'm for the most part confined to my home for safety. When I got my PS3 2 years back I for the first time decided to play a video game online so I popped my copy of Resistance: Fall of Man in and for the first time ever I was able to forget about the physical pain I was in. I was having so much fun playing with other people online I was able to get lost in the world of Resistance. So, my best online shooter moment was finally being able to forget about my constant struggle with pain and enjoy something fully while making new friends in the process.
How can I compete with that? Reading that poignant story now totally prevents me from adding my "I remember this one time when I shot a guy point-blank in the face with a rocket-launcher in MOH:AA and I actually physically pis$ed myself with glee" comment.
;)
Hope you're feeling well these days Kevin. I don't play R:FOM online much anymore but if you have COD4 add me: Brodiesan.
...i have played alot of shooters, including rainbow six and call of duty4 and unreal tournament but to be honest i think that enemy teritory is not a good game - well ive only played the demo...Online lags alot and the controls are not friendly to use... Battlefield bad company rocks!
probably tooling on fools in CoD4 but i haven't gotten Bad Company yet and that demo has been seriously owning so i'm gonna buy that i think. Also give me ETQW
My best online experiance would be my first, Its just one of those things where you can't top the thrill and the enjoyment of when you got your first online capable system (XBOX) and your parents even bought you Xbox live. Then you open your wonderful HALO 2 and put it in and play some halo 2 online. It was amazing. That is my best experiance all the way. Head to head was a blast to I love that setting.
Best moment was yesterday when I was playing MGO and I was the last guy in my team standing. So I hid in the box by the duck were supposed to protect. I picked off the last 3 members of the other team one by one. It was simply amazing lol
Hmm, well just recently I was first on Cod4 in this server even though it was the first time playing the game. I played a couple of matches on the PS3, and then went straight online on PC and had a killing spree.
My best FPS experience was playing Timesplitters 2 / Future Perfect with my friends and brothers, where we could customize the bots to mix up teams and weapons while keeping teams interesting enough to make the game fun.
I was playing Half-Life 1 online (deathmatch) around 1999, but I was using an NIH (government) dial-up connection. I was playing against a friend who lived a couple blocks away. This lasted for about 30 minutes.
The next day, my dad gets a letter from the NIH IT guys saying that the government network IDS was alerted to the presence of a "game server" that was compromising security.
Playing SOCOM for the first time and seeing the people cheat. I would shoot them and it wouldn't matter. They would run up to me and kill me quickly. The fun part of that story was having my cousin online as well from the ATL. It was great fun!!!!
resistance!!!!!!!!!!! nothing is better then run real close to them & shot them in the face with a shotgun!!!!!most of the time i die in the process but when i did it just feel so good!!!!!!!!!
I'm relatively new to online shooters, but I think one of the most exhilerating matches I played was where I won 25-0 on Crossfire, Free For All, COD4 with a Barret sniper.
Even got a couple messages from random people complaining that I was camping. Ahhhh, true evidence that they got whooped. I mean really, who's gonna run and gun with a sniper?
I always used to play UT under the name "Cookieface". This of course would lead to such amusing outbursts from fellow LAN party players as "DAMN YOU, COOKIEFACE!". Hilarity.
Does Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast count as an online shooter? Sure it does! All of my best online memories revolve around that game, especially when my fellow Jedi's and I would stop chopping each other to bits and mess around with our powers. My favorite...finding a map with a small pool of water and a high ledge, then force jumping and trying to land in the pool. Extra points for spinning in the air, etc. Good times.
