The first actual screens of Major Minor's Majestic March have arrived, and we've been anticipating the first look at the new collaboration between Masaya Matsuura (and his NanaOn-Sha development studio) and Parappa character designer Rodney Alan Greenblat for some time. It's really weird seeing Greenblat characters in full 3D!
The game partitions the screen into two areas: on the top, Major Minor walks through the town, gathering up new musicians. Also, there's some kind of ... gumball machine meter? On the bottom, your current band of animals is presented in side view.
We're hoping that the return of Greenblat will help make Majestic March a work of Parappa-level excellence instead of another Tamagotchi Corner Shop.

I was able to look past Zak and Wiki's cartoonish, kid aimed graphics to play it and was very happy.
I've enjoyed Boom Blox despite it's childlike exterior.
But I just do not think I can keep doing this any longer. This is why no one takes the Wii seriously. I'm sure this is going to be an amazing game. But it will be too cartoony for core gamers to buy and probably won't have enough commercials for kids to buy it. I want to love this game so badly but those graphics make me cringe.
If you had told me "This is Build-A-Bear Workshop for Wii" I would have believed you.

Well, could be worse. Look and many of the 3rd party games on the N64, I mean "Elmo's Letter Adventure"!!? Gimme a freakin' break! That system's 3rd party state was in pretty bad shape; why? Konami only made 15 or so games whereas on the PSX they made well over 60. So, if you think the Wii's 3rd party games are bad, think again. But I do agree that people don't give the Wii the credit it's due. I mean, they sold over 26,000,000 units so far.
