Video: Gears of War 2 multiplayer revealed
37
Here she is kids, EGM and GameVideos.com's exclusive Gears of War 2 multiplayer video reveal and she's a hefty 16+ minute video too. Of course, it isn't 16 minutes of pure Gears 2 multiplayer carnage (though, that doesn't sound half bad), the in-game footage is sprinkled throughout the video interview with Mr. Cliff Bleszinski who is surrounded by nature, chatting about game features, host advantage, the god-mode animation and all kinds of Gears 2 goodness you want to know. But fret not, there's still a bunch of Gears 2 multiplayer footage including bloody action from the newly improved Gridlock, a view from the battle cam (it's suh-weet!), the flamethrower and new executions. Just watch, we'll discuss later.

Good Golly Miss Molly!!!! WOW WOW and WOW!!!! That new map they kept showing looks like its going to be a big favourite when the game is released! Love the new game mode ideas! Hopefully the environment effected multiplayer maps will be better than what they tried on Gears1, I thought the garden map became an annoyance having to turn off the gas to get the sniper!!!! Overall though looks like its gonna be money well spent!!!!!

oh the irony of your name and what i'm about to say....
There definitely is a substantial difference in the level of gore and the overall level of polish. It seems like they're trying to push the envelope in terms of how bloody, gory, and meaty the game is while giving the environment a more rugged/run down look.
In terms of pure graphical improvements, gears 1 looked amazing, so any minor improvements they make in gears 2 will be icing on the cake. I'm not expecting jaw dropping changes simply because it was already as good as one would expect from this generation on the 360.

I think they're doing the sort of thing Halo did.
#1 was the masterpiece
#2 improved upon and fixed a lot of things that was wrong with the first
#3 add new elements but stay true to the original formula
Nevertheless I'm pumped for this game.

well i said it because i do feel let down by the graphical look to multiplayer.. not gameplay, none of us have played it yet. But from a glance theres nowhere near the polish to multiplayer thats present in the recently released single player screens.

Man this looks like it could keep me playing it for a lot longer the GOW1 did. Can't wait. Good Job EPIC By the way I have Gears of War picture autographed by Mark and Major from X06 and will need to update to Gears 2 when it's out. I'll sell it if anyone wants it (DUSTIN I'm talking to you) Gamertag is MyGirlHatesBox.

I don't think it was to halo 3. It shipped with more maps than gears 1 did.
I think it was a shot at RFOM, which shipped with 6.

Fenix wins... Fatality!
Am I the only one who thinks they are turning this game into an FPS version of Mortal Kombat?
