Cool. I'm on the fence about whether to get this or Smash Court in August. Right now I think I might hold out for Smash Court Tennis.

Just played this and not sure it's going to shift many copies of the game. It consists of a tutorial, exhibition match (I call it a match, it's actually just a tiebreak) and some videos of the gameplay.
The tutorial is pretty good, although I found it impossible to hit one of the serves, not sure if it's a problem with the game or my controller but it just wouldn't register that I was moving my right stick anti-clockwise.
It does prepare you pretty well for a real match, of course with just a tiebreaker your match lasts 2 minutes. You can only play Federer vs Roddick, and you can only be Federer, no choice in location and the frame rate drops horrendously when they pan across the crowd at the beginning (It's perhaps generous to call it a "drop" reality is it pauses, about a second later you get to watch a little movement, followed by another second long pause) At the end of the match there's no option to play it again, instead you have to sit through an unskippable minute long presentation about the features of the game.
That's it, you don't seem to be able to choose the difficulty level, it's one player as far as I can see. They've put all the work into the tutorial and nothing into the match itself.
It's a complete failure. Tennis isn't like football or soccer, the majority of gamers, even sports fans won't pick up this game just because they see it in the shop. They key is to provide a demo which shows off the game in its glory and persuades people who aren't that interested in tennis that they want to play this game.
I went into the demo with the attitude that if the game was good then I'd buy the game. After buying the demo I'm not going to buy the game, not because it's bad, it could be the greatest game, but because I wasn't given nearly enough to make a judgement.
