Joystiq Podcast 055 - Public access edition

Well, you've got the Brush With Fame returning this week (pro) but we still don't have a winner for the songwriting contest (con). There's also the usual discussions about public access strippers, because it wouldn't be the Joystiq Podcast without that.

Oh no, that was not a snipe at James at all. I believe I recently called the fella 'venerable', and think he does a stellar job looking after the JPAG. I just didn't want to see this go into James (or Jim - do you mind if I call you Jim? Jimmy? Jimbo? You do? I'll crack on then) and CTC arguing about Facebook and the ever present CIA/FBI/MI6 presence that seem to take an extreme interest into our social networking lives, or so I am lead to believe.....

Totally agree that Roogoo is great. Its the perfect wind down after an intense gaming session.
If you like puzzle games that are relaxing and also get progressively challenging you should definately check it out. Makes a change from a lot of the XBLA junk.

I'm with Ludwig on Roogoo. It took me exactly 5 minutes of the preview to reach for the NO button in my mind.

I love the podcast, but I need to know about embargo...Why do you guys and 1up and others obey this rule.......is it illegal to break a video game information embargo? I dont understand why you will be the first to comment on a rumor but when you have actual video game scoop.........nothing....Do they pay you off.....do they threaten you.........Keep you from getting a pre copy of bratz 5......Please explain this in detail.......I am a simple man......Keep it simple..

Lets put it into a different situation.:

Your friend hit your neighbour's dog with their car.
Your friend tells you and makes you promise not to tell ANYONE.
You write about it in the newspaper.
Your friend never speaks to you ever again.
Nobody else trusts you with their secrets and you never go to the exclusive friend's only parties.

WONDERFUL show! you guys gotta keep recording on Fridays now. there seems to be a hint of excitement from the TGIF syndrome that you guys lacked in the previous shows where you recorded on a Thursday.

btw, that Justin/Garnett story was great. i guess Justin is more shy in person than he leads us to believe, right? ;D

So Ludwig was really good the whole show and I was enjoying my car ride listening to the Joycast, until the very last sentence when he lays the thickest funkiest pun with the whole "And we come is a cereal format" ... and I drive out of my lane and everyone beeps at me.
