I think everyone has already hacked their Wii, this is pretty old.
TWiNKiE @ Jun 27th 2008 1:24AM
I haven't hacked my Wii. And i'm sure i'm not the only one out of 26 million people that hasn't hacked their Wii.
Fool...
RabbidMickeyMouse @ Jun 27th 2008 6:08AM
Have you ever assumed everyone celebrated Christmas, only to find that's not the case?
UltimateQ @ Jun 27th 2008 6:40AM
I hacked my wii.
Mojo @ Jun 27th 2008 2:33PM

Mr.ESC @ Jun 27th 2008 1:14AM
Now I want Quake 3 Arena on the Wii :(
Bigfoot @ Jun 27th 2008 1:16AM
I've been wishing this would happen for so long.
Anticrawl @ Jun 27th 2008 2:19AM
Quake is for chumps, bring on the Unreal.
That aside, there /are/ a few sweet Quake III mods out there that make the game worth your time.
Victor @ Jun 27th 2008 9:41AM
Mr.ESC, you read my fucking mind.

DId you hear him say Wiiboot instead of reboot?? I loled.
And also, very comprehensive walkthrough, on a more serious note.
Ridgecity @ Jun 27th 2008 1:38AM
homebrew for Wii? is it emulators and stuff? or also game backups?
Can you play pirate stuff or homebrew on the xbox360?
serotoninzero @ Jun 27th 2008 2:02AM
Sigh. This looks fun. Now I just need to find a Wii.
Evan @ Jun 27th 2008 2:20AM
In my opinion Nintendo should sanction Homebrew development due to how well it's presented on the Wii right now.
whosmav @ Jun 27th 2008 2:12PM
The HB channel is the best. It looks mad official.
Taco_Hell @ Jun 27th 2008 4:14AM
I've been pondering of whether or not I should make my Wii homebrew enable. But I don't know if there are many homebrew stuff I would use so I'm still on the fence on this one.
Foetoid @ Jun 27th 2008 5:42AM
I've been thinking about hacking, but i dont really want to and i dont have to at all. I already own 12 GC games 11 Wii games, 14 VC games and 2 WiiWare games. I have plenty and i dont even have Geometry Wars, SSBB, MKWii, Battalion Wars, No More Heroes or Super Mario Galaxy. And all 11 Wii games i own are excellent (and i dont buy minigame compilations). What im trying to say is, with over 35 games total in my collection without the excellent gems i just listed, there are PLENTY of games available to be played on the Wii. Is Homebrew really necessary?
Ihar `Philips` Filipau @ Jun 27th 2008 7:27AM

I want Doom3 on Wii.
Something tells me yes, it is really necessary.
Seeing how gaming companies consistently screw their gamers, I do not think that there is much choice but crack them wide open.
Unless faced with real competition on innovation, I do not think Nintendo itself would start doing new original games. Otherwise would go on pressing sequel remakes.
Foetoid @ Jun 27th 2008 8:21AM
What a load of shit. The SNES had the new original game F-Zero and Mario Kart, the N64 had the new original game Smash Bros, the Gamecube had the new original game Pikmin and Mario Baseball, and the Wii will soon have Day of Disaster and possibly Project HAMMER. Not only that, but every generation sees a new leap in innovation for EVERY franchise they have. Doom 3 on the Wii? Are you kidding? Doom 3 would look like arse on the Wii and such a poorly excecuted game should stay off the console anyway. Nintendo have never done anything wrong in my books software wise, and only with the lack of Wii internal memory have they ever stuffed up with hardware (no, i dont think leaving DVD out of the GC was a stuff-up, tho mose 3rd party devs would dissagree).
Nintendo are famous for NOT screwing with consumers and always delivering a quality product. This homebrew BS is bollocks, its as if there aren't enough good games available to play on the Wii as it is. YAY, lets run a 12 year old PC FPS on the Wii. OR if you really wanna play it with superior keyboard/mouse controls, you could probably find it on ebay for $2, or in the case of QUAKE, get it off Steam. Until i see something extremely innovative, the plethora of GC/VC/WiiWare/Wii games will suffice.
Dale @ Jun 27th 2008 10:00AM
Project HAMMER was canned.
Lijik @ Jun 27th 2008 10:25AM
Mario Baseball is "new" and "original"? WHAAAT?
Odama would have been the far better choice for the gamecube's second new idea.
thispaceforsale @ Jun 27th 2008 11:06AM
system shock!
I will buy it immediately if it was vc
t_m @ Jun 27th 2008 11:34AM
can we play multiplayer quake with the wiimote???? That would be so awesome!
I don't like these newfangled multiplayer games with all their realism, teamwork, objectives and classes...
