In honor of Canada Day on July 1, FutureShop and Best Buy Canada are bundling up savings and throwing them to Canadian consumers. This week, until July 3, Best Buy Canada is offering the Xbox 360 Premium console with the recently released Alone in the Dark for $349.99; a savings of $60. Best Buy is also holding a Buy 2 for $99 promotion on Ninja Gaiden II, Battlefield: Bad Company and Hellboy: The Science of Evil! Select any two of the three for a huge savings (we wonder which two people will pick!). Lastly, Best Buy is offering Guitar Hero: Aerosmith for $89.99 netting gamers a $10 instant savings and $5 off a 12 month subscription to Xbox Live ($54.99).
Not to be outdone, FutureShop continues its console bundling experiments by mixing an Xbox 360 Elite with Gears of War and Dark Sector for $449.99 (a $90 value). Also for those who haven't picked up Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV, the title has dropped $5 to $54.99. Hey, every penny counts!

Almost a precursor to the price drop we know that's coming. For those who play on both sides of the fence, $39 a piece for Uncharted and Singstar (with the mics!) at BB is pretty decent too.

What are you even talking about? Regular price in Canada at Best Buy is $59.99. It's $5 less now for $54.99.

Ah, but you see, us Canadians have to pay more for pretty much everything! Believe it or not, even though the CAD and USD are at a difference of less than once cent, the standard price for a 12-month card is 10 dollars more in Canada.

my bad guys - somehow I missed the bit about it being a Canadian sale - seeing as how the first sentence mentions Canada Day, I'm not quite sure how I managed that one.

Um... these promotions are anything but spectacular. :(
Seeing that Alone in the Dark tanked on the reviews, they should have dropped the price tag to $29.99.

terrible deals. I can ebay a 1 year subscription for 50% less then that. Gutureshop and best buy are known for playing off national holidays/events every week and claling it a big sale. NExt week will be summer heat sale, then the week after will be back to school, then the week after will be mid summer sale, then a its raing out sale
