I'll just wait for the VC releases.

Yes, downloading the ROM itself is the only smart choice until Nintendo releases those freakin' games on the VC. I mean $30+
is too much, even if those games are rare. When they come out on the VC (yeah, right), then can oneself justify buying said games. But until they do, emulation all the way.

You don't need to justify the purchase of two of the greatest video games ever made... that have aged incredibly over the years *or rather, haven't aged a day*.

30-200 is a great price to pay to own such a game, especially if it comes in the box with all original inserts.

I can't believe Super Mario All-Stars is a rare cartridge. It seems like RPGs and shooters were always easy to find. *shrug*

Thanks to the used game market in Japan, I was able to pick up Chrono Trigger for less than $10, box and all. Super Mario RPG is the game currently sitting in my SNES actually, good to know I could get good money for it.

So, this is why Goodwill never has any used games in-store, anymore? They're selling them online at eBay prices to the high be bidders?

Warm fuzzies, my ass.

I don't know. I'm still a big fan of the good ole hard copy. It feels weird to buy games on the VC unless I already have them. ROMs are in no way the same because the whole thing is messed up (even if you've got the USB/controller setup--whatever). Ironically, I've spotted Secret of Mana cartridges at several different outlets (Game Exchange, Traders, etc.) and ALL of them were $44. It's not that rare, guys. Just hyped up in price.

Besides, what's the nostalgia in modern downloading?? Gross, man.

Super Mario All Stars is all I need.

And I found a copy, boxed, at a local store for £2.50.

TAKE THAT, EXPENSIVE INTERNET AUCTION!

Had no idea those games were rare. Maybe I should sell my copy of Chrono Trigger. I think I even still have the manual.

Those copies of the games aren't even tested. I mean I know it's from Goodwill, but if you're asking 75$ for it the least you could do is pop it in the NES and see if it works. And if you're afraid to lose money... idk that's kind of immoral. But whatev, I guess as long as the money is going for a good cause...

Or the Snes... popping it in the NES would prob lead to a "sorry, this game doesn't work" situation...

My copy of secret of mana was stolen and pawned by a homeless drug dealer.

That was my donation.

So I'm going to avoid buying an old game that probably has less then functioning backup ram for the saves and go with a free rom instead. Oh, then I'm going to donate money to various Multiple Schlerosis groups.

I think I have three of those games. Secret of Mana was a game I bought in search of another game, I think it was Lagoon.
