Poll: What classes would you like to see return in Diablo 3?

I was going to vote for the necro but the Witch (Foot) doctor is the replacement of the Necromancer.

If you ask me the Witch Doctor would've been better as a replacement for the Druid.

I would be happy with the Necro, amazons or the one I voted The Assassin.

I'm gunna go ahead and say the FAQ that listed 5 as the number of classes was a mistake, and we should assume that Jay Wilson's "we can't reveal how many yet" is what we should believe. At least that's what I'm hoping...

Paladin for me. Zeal + Fanaticism = Fun DPS. However I'm hoping they do something to make him a bit better of a standalone player rather than just a party enhancer...

I for one played Diablo II's single player mode only. After LOD came out I played as an Assassin, but soon went back to play my pally. I don't enjoy ranged characters as much, but I also didn't like the Barbarian's style and attacks. The Paladin was the perfect blend of melee and magic for me, though his auras were not as effective in the single player game.

I like Amazon, shooting and throwing javelins in cow level is overwhelming.

Damn, lots of vote for the necro... Good luck with that one guys... Can't you see they intend to use the with doctor to replace the necro? Pets, Disease, Zombie wall?

I voted for the Sorceress for two reasons. Magic is a staple of Diablo, and The sorceress is my favorite class :P (Second comes the barb :P)

From the concept art and Cain's diary, I noticed a few possible classes.

'Witch' was infered, although I'm guessing this means mage/sorcerer/ss.

I saw a drawing of what looked like a paladin type, shield hammer I think.

Another looked like a hunter, holding onto a big cat. I believe these will use guns, bows and crossbows.These all could just be meaningless drawings, but Blizzard likes to tease.

The Barbarian was the most iconic Character in Diablo II, ever preview they showed of the Diablo II was the barbarian. It was the most played class in Diablo II classic so they had to bring him back. I think that pretty much ever other class is going to be a mixture of other classes. They talk about diversity within each class, so I am going to put on my "speculation cap" and say that most likely they are going to have classes that do more then they ever did in D2. For instance, a ranger/amazon/rouge will probably be able to do, bows/crossbows, spears, traps, and something else.

I have a feeling that these five classes are going to be very diverse in abilities from previous games. 4 to 5 skill trees would be quite interesting.

We all already know that we are gonna have the Barbarian and the Witchdoctor as playable characters on Diablo 3.
because of the obvious similarity of Necromancer to the Witchdoctor, we can assume we will not have the Necromancer on the characters list.


so, my question is: from the other remaining characters that took part on Diablo 2, which one would you like to see the most on Diablo 3?
